Lancer Will Not Make Sig Magazines
Disappointing but not a surprise for Sig Magazines.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for the compliment about or mags.
At this time, we do not have any plans for any pistol magazines but it is always being discussed.
To be honest, due to the abundance of Glocks, if we were to do a pistol magazine, we would probably start with them.
Please, let us know if you have any, other questions.
Best Regards,
Dan

Why would they want to make SIG mags, when Mec-Gar and Checkmate already have that market cornered. Lancer AR mags are pricey already, compared to other brands (Magpul Pmag). If they start making SIG pistol mags, they will most likely be more expensive than Mec-Gar. So, no go.

I must be missing the reason why this would have mattered.

My guess would be, probably brought on by the lack of 239 mags?

Maybe we're supposed to read between all those lines?

Beware of a man whose only pistol is a 1911, he's probably very good with it.

Sig mags actually make more sense for aftermarket- Magpul already makes a cheap reliable Glock mag, and 320 sales are going through the roof. Given the cost of factory Sig mags, Lancer could make a fortune if they could keep cost below Sig retail.

Yeah I can’t say I think much of Lancer. My buddy seems to like them, but Magpul work great, why bother with Lancer?

And as the poster above points out, it’s kind of a stupid thing for Lancer to say. “We’re not looking to get into pistols, but if we did, we’d go for the most competition and lowest likely margins.”

I won’t lose any sleep over this “revelation”.

ETS is gearing up to make Sig mags. I've run those things to death and they hold up well, despite bouncing off the ground and the dirt all day long.

Well, they do, kind of, make SIG mags as they are the OEM for MPX magazines.

Beyond that, they are my favorite AR/SCAR mags but I'm sure they would have trouble being price competitive for most anything else as their rep is based on quality and reliability and I'm guessing they don't want to take a chance and sacrifice that, who knows.

They make the mags for the MPX. So technically they do make sig mags.

Yeah, I thought this thread was telling us they were no longer making mpx mags.
