Haha, exactly what I do now. P938 and P220. I do like carrying my SP2022 though.

No striker guns available? Oh no! That leaves me only about 25 other options Big Grin

Over the winter, I'd probably carry a P229. Rest of the year, I prefer to carry a revolver.

(If I weren't carrying the P229 over the winter, I'd probably be carrying a G29 though, except the whole, you know, no strikers available thingy)

Even with all the striker fired guns available, I still carry a HK USPc.

I carry a P229-2 Elite in 9mm. I plan to transition to a CZ-P01 in the next year provided circumstances allow.

Thank you President Trump.

Same thing I carry right now... P229 SAS.

I’m okay with striker fired pistols, but I’m not totally sold on them as being the end all/be all handgun option. The overwhelming majority of them are plastic, and I find plastic pistols to look and feel cheap. I also, prefer the ability to utilize the safety of a longer/heavier initial trigger pull, or the lighter/shorter single action pull at my discretion. The SRT trigger on my P229 puts every striker fired trigger I’ve ever tried to shame.

While I don’t mind a striker fired gun, I certainly don’t prefer them. Give me a metal gun with a hammer any day.

I don't own nor do I have any interest in a striker fired handgun. Therefore, my options for carry remain the same, P239 (357Sig), P229 (357Sig), GP100 (357Mag).

Life is good and so are the classics.

CZ P01. Or PCR. Or 92. Or any 3rd gen. Or 226. Or P07. Or 228. Or or or. No real loss to me. I like strikers and enjoy shooting them. I like TDA’s better though.

When my non shooting buddies want to shoot, I take my LTT or my CZ’s. I think strikers are less safe overall for new shooters. My opinion. They tend to shoot them better but that isn’t necessarily the object. They would shoot a 2 lb Les Baer better as well but not the first best starting point. Learn to drive a TDA and strikers won’t be an issue. Learn strikers first and you become my buddy who hates, and can’t shoot for shit, any double action gun.

I don’t feel handicapped by a DA/SA and it offers advantages at times.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Springfield XDe? It's a hammer-fire isn't it?

P2000's are way underrated. Flat and easy to carry, available with the superior LEM trigger. Great Pistols!!

Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

I'd go back to either my W. German 228 or 229 in .357 SIG.

Yes it is, as is the S&W MP2.0 Shield EZ (although) not traditional DA/SA.

The XDe is traditional DA/SA, is a solid built gun and shoots really well. Easy to rack, soft recoil, good grip for a single stack and a decent DA trigger that is smooth. The only thing I don't like about it, is the curve on the trigger. But it's positives outweigh that one issue and the .45 XDe has tempted me a few times.

Wouldn’t mind carrying my p-01 cz. It’s very light and compact compared to other brands similar offerings
