Lefty SigIf we didn’t have striker fired guns...
HK P30 or P30SK
If we are talking Sigs a P225A1
For something smaller a P238 or equivalent
Really small Seecamp .32
And of course either a 642 or 640.

Delta-3Same as I carried before they became popular. 1911 or a Beretta 92.

apprenticeMy current options:
SP2022 9mm
Several choices in revolvers
November 24, 2020, 08:21 PM
armoredPrimarily I carry a full size CZ SP01 9mm Shadow DA/SA.
If I can't carry the Shadow I carry a Kahr CM45.
On occasion I might carry my Sig P220ST.
I prefer a DA/SA for a CCW weapon.

RexsterRuger GP100. SP101, Security Six, Speed Six. S&W K-Frames. These are mostly what I use, these days, with my range time, at formal shooting ranges, since the pandemic started, being zero. These point very well, and long-stroke DA is my least-perishable trigger system skill set. Moreover, my right hand is not aging well, so using revolvers reduces concern about limp-wrist malfunctions, with my particular issue being numb-thumb as much or more than limp-wrist. Switching to lefty primary reduces concern about malfunctions, but my right hand does not always do what my brain tells it to do.
S&W J-Frames. I rarely need to carry anything this small, and they hurt when I shoot them right-handed, so, occasional niche guns.
Seecamp LWS-32. Occasional niche guns.
1911 pistols. Without recent practice, I will not shoot these as well as my revolvers, so, they stay home.
SIG P229R DAK, .40 S&W. I retired this one, in 2015, soon after my chief allowed 9mm as an alternative duty cartridge. I switched to Glock G17 duty pistols, to get a lower bore axis, and the lesser-recoiling 9mm, in one move.
S&W Third-Generation autos, Models 3913 TSW, and 908. I started feeling nostalgic about a well-liked 3913, that I used, for a while, in the Nineties. I have yet to function-test these,
I do have several 9mm Glocks. Without frequent training, my Glocking skills go DOWN; far worse than with the 1911. My Glocks are, shall we say, in long-term secure storage, indefinitely. Maybe, some time nest year, I can start rebuilding Glock skills.

Rev. A. J. Forsythquote:
If we didn't have striker guns, nobody would notice, or care.
Yup. That is the best thing I have read all day.
I'd carry a Model 60 or a Combat Commander. Oh wait, I already do.

monoblokIf I could somehow have never spent all of the money that I have on all of the strikers that I've owned AND I could mystically warp the space-time continuum so handguns of Right Now could've been had on that infamous day that I bought my first Glock, I would choose to have
at least a set of triplets of the Wilson Combat EDC X9s. I do believe that I could be happy and content with that 3-some, ruddy thumb safety and all.
Or to keep it a bit lighter, a no-thumb safety HK P30SK after a serious trigger job to address that obnoxious mile-long reset and slop-ridden takeup, among other annoying attributes.

92fstechDaily? Same thing I do right now...my P245. My woods/hiking gun is a 3" SP101 in .357 Mag, and my pocket gun is an S&W 360J in .38+p. Work would have to find something to replace my P320s, but the stuff that I carry on my own by choice wouldn't change much.

18DAII've no use for any striker fired pistol. I prefer an all metal gun with a great trigger.
So I still carry what I have for decades. S&W 3rd gen pistols. Mostly in 45. If there were no striker fired guns tomorrow, I probably wouldn't notice.
