If that box is original to that revolver (serial number written on the bottom), it would legitimize the era of mid-50s. There were 3 versions of that sunray/starburst box, one, like yours, with the diamond border, a second with the double solid line border and a third with a single solid border. Nice package. | |||

A member of the old club here carried one of those. We joshed him that it took two shots to kill a mouse that came on the range. | |||

Just checked, the serial number is hand written in light blue on the exterior bottom of the box. | |||
