I bought one of these mainly to compare the quality vs the normal German made ones and also the upgraded Mastershop X series I have. I also have a Leupold Deltapoint Pro on it and that seems to be the perfect setup.
I've only put 200 rounds through it so far, but I have to say I'm VERY impressed.
Tolerances seem on point with the German made ones I have. There is no rattle or flex in slide to frame fitment. The Tungsten grips are perfect in my hands and they don't bite but do grab. The Legion finish is awesome. Seems a little more green tint on this model.
Anyone else tried this one out? What are your thoughts? $2200 is not cheap, but it beats the hell out of the $4000-$5000 German made X-Fives are selling for now. This message has been edited. Last edited by: FLKev,

Despite the terrible greenish-gray color, I finally gave in and bought one. I agree with you, it's a very nice pistol on a par with both American and German XFives. The gun feels very balanced, and accuracy is spot on. I just wish the color was more like the original Legions.

I actually like the greenish tint. I was also surprised that it feels as heavy as my SSE P226. It's an alloy but the weight doesn't feel like it is.

I have a German P226 X5. There’s no vertical slide-frame movement, but there is a bit of lateral movement. Doesn’t impair accuracy though.

The case should have cutouts on a gun with this price tag. Mine came with a knick in the slide end where the comp is. The mags were obviously bumping against the gun during shipping. When I opened the case a mag was resting against the slide end right where this knick is and the finish is gone there all the way to the silver metal. Pissed me off, but it is inside the slide comp opening and small but annoying when all they had to do was have proper cutouts like they do on much cheaper guns than this.

I actually looked at one last night while shopping for a retirement gift to myself in a couple months. I compared it to several different pistols and I was absolutely impressed. It will be the pistol I buy and I look forward to shooting in the near future. Very nice looking and feeling setup for sure.
