I agree. I install them in all my M&P's.
Rom 13:4 If you do evil, be afraid. For he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

| The Apex trigger in the M&P is a great option. The Apex kit allows multiple adjustments and combinations to get the trigger where you want. It's got a lot of flexibility. I tried several combinations until I was satisfied with the trigger on my 2.0.
Someone mentioned the Grayguns trigger for the P320 as a comparison. I'd say their triggers are very much worth the cost, and there are several versions and components one can get, from just the trigger to one with overtravel, to a competition kit; the kit also offers options, including standard and light trigger return springs, etc. I have their triggers in various Sig pistols and feel they're worthy of the price. The factory trigger is quite good; the Grayguns is an improvement on that. Whether you feel it's worth it may depend on how discerning you want to be regarding the trigger.
Any factory trigger is adequate. Most can be improved. Some, substantially.
The M&P benefits from the Apex trigger, in my opinion. For someone like Rob Leatham, who can slap the hell out of any trigger and run it like a surgeons scalpel, it probably doesn't matter much what trigger is on there. For someone like Jerry Jones who can run the factory trigger like a concert piano, it may be that the apex is unnecessary, even a waste of time.
I'm not in the same hemisphere of ability as either of those men, and never will be, so for me, tailoring the apex to my likes was a step up. Others mileage, as they say, may vary. |

I swear I had something for this

That’s what I was afraid of. And for the record, I was looking for a better wall for the Legion. The Performance Center M&P actually has a trigger I’d be perfectly happy with. The Legion, while having a lighter trigger is also mushier with a rolling break that I can’t stand. Also, has there been any accuracy issues with the 2.0? I did have the 1.0 with a defective barrel and decided to just sell the thing instead of pumping more money into it. Has that been cured, or at least mostly cured with the new guns? No sense buying a Performance Center with a ported barrel just to replace it with an Apex non ported barrel. |
