So I’ve been on the search for the, “Goldilocks Gun” for quite a while now, something in between my standard P365 and 365 Legion Macro. I like them both but the 365 feels like 1 step up from a j-frame and the Macro with the long grip and metal frame is about the same size and weight as a lightweight 1911 Commander.

Sig for quite a while now has only been selling the P365XL in the Rose editions with a manual safety. I like the comp on my Macro and considered buying a standard comped Macro and then buying an XL grip and magazines. Then I saw Sig’s marketing on the 365 Equinox and it’s basically everything I want, XL sized, comp and as a bonus comes with a metal frame.

I’ve been on a waitlist with my dealer ever since these were announced and had a stock watch on Davidson’s website as well. Got an alert at noon on Friday that they were available at Davidson’s, by the time I checked online 20 minutes later they were already listed as out of stock. On a whim checked tonight, listed as available went to get a quote and they showed an inventory of 1 so I jumped on it.

Hoping to get it next week and excited. Should probably thank Sig, I was about to give in to crisis marketing and spend my gun money on a Ruger Toklat in .454.
