MAP should be around $1399. Used to be lower on the original model pre-rona (could be had for $1099)

Everyone just needs to calm down--I think we all know the finest firearm ever produced is the P226 Legion SAO. You can take that to the bank!! Of course you may want to take some money as well, as the bank is giving a pretty bad return on my opinion. Also don't buy holsters on the internet the day after surgery. That is all.

BAHAHAHA!
That’s excellent! “Oh, this’ll be perfect.”

Not sure it fits in the dollar area but I favor the HK MK23. Spectacular pistol.
After that a CZ 97BD after Cajun Gun Works does its thing.

Upon reflection and after doing a bit of reading around this morning, I think I might be inclined to look at the CZ TS 2. Here's an SF thread on it: The new CZ TS2
The base model (blue grips) appears to be going for around $1300.
One of the best groups I ever shot was with a friend's CZ 75B I picked up and shot cold for the first time:
That's an entire mag, 16 rounds. Two outliers. (Three, if you count the one to the upper right.) Wasn't particularly slow fire, either.
I almost bought a CZ 75B as a result of that, but they stopped making them in satin stainless soon thereafter, so I went with a Glock G34, which I shot nearly as well, instead.

For range use and the price given, I was able to snag an STI Perfect 10 for just over two grand.

1-2K? Can't think of any handgun I would spend that much money on. Of course I am pretty well set with what I like and I am not a 1911 fan. I did spend well under 1K for Sig 320 compact with Romeo 1 earlier this year that I am happy with to do every thing I need.

If I could only keep two of these four pistols, it would be the Shadow Systems by a hair, even though the P320 AXG's will out shoot them by just a little bit.

Ha! I once felt that way. "Over a thousand bucks for a handgun? Too rich for my blood!"
Then the Sig P210A Target came along.
That kind of opened the floodgates, so to speak. That pistol triggered in me an appreciation for well-crafted, all-metal pistols--SA pistols, in particular.
Unfortunately, such pistols tend to be a mite more spendy.

Yeah all this.
Or pick a generation Glock 19 and $1500 worth of ammo.

I second that motion. imho one of the sexiest, highest quality, functionally and ergonomically superior, AND infinitely practical defensive (and offensive) production guns on the market. I'd buy me one if they weren't so expensive, though I do believe they are worth the coin if you really want one.
The other gun I think is great are any of the Beretta FS/M2 pistols. The classic FS is the sexiest piece money can buy, but not quite as practical for carry as the Sig models. I'd love to carry that mofo around but it's just too big and uncomfortable to hide, though I did try it for a little while.
A custom tuned compact CZ of any model you like, I'd say that would be a very nice runner up. I love me some CZ of any type. The metal guns clean up and tune up VERY nicely.

After shooting my P320F, I sold off my P226 Alround, a P226 Mk25, my P229 West German, and the Glock 19. Super accurate, super easy to shoot, and easy to clean. This left over enough money to buy thousands of rounds of ammo plus a Leupold DPP.

P226 Legion SAO for centerfire, Volquartsen Scorpion for rimfire. The CZ Bullseye is a very close runner up for me.

If you already got a deep pile of 226 mags, then a 226 Legion SAO. If not, then a P210A.
Actually, maybe just the P210A.

My CZ75 satin stainless done by/boughtfrom CZ Custom. It came in at around $1450 for the gun all done up, had them convert it to SAO and do it all up. Everything about it is just great......the trigger, ergonomics, FO front site.....etc.....They really did an excellent job on it.......

Easy question. Hands down it’s my P226 RXP Legion. No doubt in my mind.
