I'm eyeing a very good deal P365X with factory Romeo Zero but have no ideas how good or bad the Zero is. In fact, the only experience with pistol RDS I had was with the Vortex Venom on my X5 Open a couple of years ago for a very limited time before I sold it. Don't want to buy the P365 in question, and the sight turns out to be junk.

I do not have one but it seems very flimsy plastic. Most of the folks I know around here are using the 507K. I have the Holosun 507K on mine and it is sweet.
I agree, the Romeo Zero is very generic and low quality. Also when the battery runs out you have to take it off to replace the battery, then Re zero the dot again.
Whereas the Holosun 507K , the battery slot comes out from the side and you don’t need to remove the entire RDS.
Lastly, the Romeo Zero lense tend to scratch very easily even when cleaning with a simple clothe.
I have a new unit from my factory 365XL package that I never used, be happy to send it to you gratis to try and keep if you feel it’s for you Q.
Let me know..
ETA - here’s a thread from ST to give you more perspective
The RomeoZero on my P365XL has been reliable over a year of carry. I recently upgraded the slide to the new version with suppressor height sights and the RomeoZero Elite which has a glass lens, reticle options, and is supposedly more durable. Like the RomeoZero it required removal to change the battery, but then so does my RMR on my FNX-45.

Thanks, guys. I've decided not to go ahead. Sanity is back. Thinning the herd, adding another pistol is not really necessary, unless it's a killer deal. The Zero, being what it is, does not make this package a killer deal. And, thanks hk91308, for your very generous offer, but it's not happening. My only P365 right now is the original model, so there will be no optic, which is fine. I'll KISS.

I adhere to the KISS principle as well. My Sig P322 came with a Romeo Zero and I've had no issues with it - operates just fine. You can, however, see the inherent cheapiness and flimsiness in the product. Saving now to replace it with a Holosun.

The pros are it is inexpensive. The cons are listed. Flimsy, bad buttonology, bad button placement, need to remove to swap battery. It’s not inexpensive enough to justify buying one imo.

Pedro is 100% correct here. My bud has this exact combo from Sig and it's junk. He shot my 365 with a Shield and he is sold with this RDS. I'm sure the Holosons are great too.

Plastic body. Plastic lens. No manual brightness control.
Holosun 407K at not a lot more (if you know who to buy from...) is a far superior pick. The new Vortex Defender may also be a good contender but time will tell.

Let's just say 'zero' is about as an appropriate name as they comes. We thought the Burris Fastfire lineup was bad for retailing; the Romeo Zero has been worse, at least from a percentage returned standpoint. The Zero has been a particularly poor seller for us, so our sample base isn't anything close to representing the market in general. But of those we have sold, we have close to a 50% return rate, either with defects, or even with unopened/still in the package units. People buying a 365X or XL would sometimes buy them on a whim, go home and do an internet search on the Zero, then bring it back for a refund on the day that they come in to pick up their SIG. After literally years of seeing this repeat cycle, we wound up wholesaling the units off, taking a loss for the wasted time and shelf space those stupid things cost us.
