was searching around the other day for components for the subcompact version of the P320 (slide / grips module, etc)

to possibly covert from a compact to a subcompact

has Sig discontinued that possibility ? or is it simply supply / demand / COVID non-availability

thanks for any insights

You can always move the FCU around, but the subcompact is gone as far as I know.

The X-compact is the 'small' gun now. It has the subcompact length, but it's a compact height grip.

If you're looking for the subcompact height, maybe someone on the aftermarket (or used market) has a SC grip module. The 3.6" slides/barrels are available from SIG or aftermarket companies like Norsso. Dunno about the 12 round mags, though.

FWIW, Sportsman's Warehouse in Camp Hill, PA is showing a 320SC on their website for $500.

The introduction of P365 spelled the doom of P320 sub-compact. P320 sub-compact fans will find a way to piece them together, however.
Best options are P365 or P320 X-Compact

thanks for the responses

i have been reading previous posts / watching youtube vids and piecing together the current state of offerings

funny situation is -- i actually won this P320 in drawing about 3 years ago and it has sat basically untouched

so I am trying to figure out if there is any way to make it more 'useful' by configuring it in a way that is different from my current choices...

the swappable FCU makes a compelling option ... but I might be SOL if the subcompact parts have been discontinued

I'm with Oat Action Man on this one. Someone with the subcompact grip is bound to have decided that a larger grip works better for them. As an example (no connection to seller):

There seem to be mags available from other vendors as well.

Yep. There was nothing "subcompact" about the P320SC. It was a chunky gun. Even larger than the G26 and similar guns, which barely qualify as subcompacts themselves.

You're better off grabbing a standalone P365 if you want a subcompact striker-fired Sig.

Or, if you're just after a slightly shorter grip length alone, scrounge up a Subcompact grip and a couple mags. Your P320C slide assembly will work just fine on it. And if you get the Medium railed SC grip, you can use standard P320C holsters.

You don’t have an email address in your profile. I have a new 320SC I’d trade with you. Email me if interested.

In my searches for the parts to convert a 9mm P320 XCompact to a Compact 357/40, I’ve run across numerous listings for Subcompact grip modules, and GunMag Warehouse at least has 357/40 Subcompact mags. I don’t remember which suppliers had the grip modules in stock, but the places I’ve checked were Brownells, Top Gun Supply, CDNN, and Numrich Gun Parts.

If past experience is any guide, though, if you want the parts, don’t delay getting them.

My subcompact felt out of place with the subcompact grip module, and the 12 round magazines didn't exchange with anything else.

Presently it sits in a Wilson compact grip module, takes 15 round magazines, and feels and balances very nicely. It works well in the x-compact grip, too.

I have several Subcompact grip modules and magazines that I'm looking to part with. E-mail me if you're interested.

EDIT TO ADD: The magazines are 10-rounders because I live in one of "those" states. I have a couple of the small non-railed grip modules (OD green and FDE) and one medium railed module (FDE).

I picked up an assembled P320 FCU off gunbroker and then a fully assembled SC slide.

I bought a package from CDNN that had an FDE Small Subcompact Grip module (strangely without a mag release installed) a kydex holster, and 1 12 round magazine (with finger extension) for $39.99. Also picked up some 10 round mags (with finger extension) for the range at $18.99 a piece.

Found 12 round magazines a plenty at Osage County Guns and Proven Arms and outfitters. Gunbroker also has some deals on the 12-round mags from time to time.

What is pretty impossible to find anywhere in my experience, is the Subcompact Medium grip, with the accessory rail.

I went through the same thing back in the spring and spent lots of time on Gunbroker before finding the grip module I wanted. Patience pays.

I found this video very helpful. It describes the differences in the SC grip modules and had an impact on what I ended up looking for (and ultimately buying).

I like the SC slide. Not a huge fan of the modules. The small is just an odd combination of, well everything. So I settled on a home brew stippled medium. I bought Obsidian Arms (I think) baseplate extensions and it is a nice, if certainly not SC, package.

Interesting side note. When 8 sent in my SC for the safety “upgrade” it came back with a different module. Not just the reshaped “cutout” for the slide release but new all over shape wise. I asked and they said it was a redesign for some reason I don’t recall. I mentioned I had numerous of the old style and he had me send them in and replaced them with the new. It was a subtle but completely noticeable change. If my memory serves it was only a change on the Smalls.

Do---or do not.
There is no try.

I still carry my P320C with the subcompact grip module if I travel to or through Communist states with magazine capacity restrictions. Since I shoot .357 Sig, the standard subcompact magazine capacity is 10, which covers me in most places.

Same here. Buying and swapping frames over the past few years, I've noticed three distinct variants of the SC frame: (a) original shape and slide release cutout, (b) modified shape and cutout, but the old "ridge" that used to protect the slide catch lever, and (c) modified shape and cutout and a modified "ridge" that now protects the catch lever in its new position. I have only seen (c) in the medium/railed frame, though.

Question does the subcompact grip from a P250 fit the P320? I thought they were interchangeable As I have several P250 subcompact grips and subcompact mags

Sig had SC X change kits, also bought a SC grip and mag from CDNN. I dremmeled a couple of P320 SC holsters to allow the compact slide to fit and they work great.
