That is a nice looking pistol. Love the ergonomics. But no thumb safety please. This message has been edited. Last edited by: heydrich,

Another polystriker pistol. I wonder how they can sell enough of them to make it worth it. Police contracts I guess?

Looks like Taurus and Ruger had a one-night stand.

Like CZ, could use another, or maybe a P385, looks like some nice new guns out in the market...

When I first saw images of the new CZ Duty Pistol, I must admit, I thought it was a Taurus.

A pulchritudinous polymer pow-pow?
I wouldn't say that. These types of pistols have all begun to look the same to me, and none of them are visually appealing.
They look awkward, lacking in grace. Serrations have become huge furrows. The grip zones are a mish-mash. And don't get me started on that malignant mass on the slide, the terrible toomah.

Ick, I say!

I’ll take words I had absolutely no friggin idea of the definition for $1000 Alex.
I totally see Taurus/RXM. Probably a great update for the P10 series though.

I don't like how it looks (my mind also ran to Taurus, but now I can also see why some said Ruger). That said, I'm sure it's an excellent pistol.

Para sent me to the dictionary on that one. It is NOT pulchritudinous. I will not be surprised if it shoots great, but it does look like an awkward mish mash of parts.
I look at one of John Moses Browning's designs and I almost immediately think "me want!" Some of CZ's metal pistols are really attractive, but this one is a miss for me.

You can't shoot worth a shit, Sister! Uhh, I mean man!
Form-follows-function is how we got the appearance of the Glock; blocky, drab, homely. As the decades have passed and the polymer-frame, striker-fired pistol designs have multiplied, each manufacturer feels the need, of course, to make their designs visually unique, and though this is understandable, therein lies the problem.
You can make only so many variations of this design, and now we've gotten to the nun-punching stage.

I agree. If they had just done one continuous texture across the whole grip instead of sectioning it off, it would have looked fine.
I also dislike the “Spider-Man” grip of the HKs, for similar reasons.

This is true. For example, Sig made the dingus operate differently on the P385. On the pre-production P385s, they made the lower receiver reciprocate instead of the slide but had to ditch the design due to negative user feedback.
