I recently traded into my first P220, older classic no-rail style. Don't know why, but I find it more difficult to shoot than any of my other SIGs, P228, P239, P245. I have moderately large hands and long fingers. It feels like I really have to pull the trigger way, way, back, especially the first DA shot. Much more so than on my other DIGs. Question: Is there any trigger configuration that will move the trigger further forward, to accommodate my longer reach? Before anybody asks, no, the trigger is not the thin, short reach one; it is the standard SIG trigger. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Hello, Perhaps a custom trigger shoe would help you. I’ve read that GGI was able to open up frames in the past by machining away some material to accommodate the 10mm wide trigger. Hope this helps.

Another possibility, if it doesn't already wear them, might be to find a set of Hogue rubber grips. They increase the grip circumference a bit and might make the pull feel longer. I don't know of anyone off the top of my head who makes a longer trigger. They are all either shorter or relatively the same but with different profiles. You may have to go full custom, as taguin suggested. <><><><><><><><><><><><><> "I drank what?" - Socrates

Thanks for the suggestion. Probably not worth the cost for this pistol, though, and definitely not worth the wait time. GGI has worked on three of my guns and although the work was good, every one took far more than the promised time. Three strikes. It is certainly worth giving JAFO's suggestion a try. I'm pretty sure that Greg Cote carries these grips, that's very affordable, and Greg apparently learned his quick shipping tricks at the Top Gun Supply School of Customer Service. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I've done something similar to what taguin suggested, but yeah - there's a wait. The easiest way I know of is to do as JAFO suggests. Be aware (if you're not already) that which generation of P220 you have could affect which grips fit. OTOH, one of the nice things about going with Hogues is that they offer a variety of grips in a variety of materials for a variety of generations of P220s.

The easiest and cheapest option is changing grips, unfortunately you may have to experiment a bit. The Hogue rubber grips are cheap as dirt. I'm not aware of anyone that makes a longer reach trigger, everything I'm aware of is shorter or medium reach options. __________________________________ NRA Benefactor I lost all my weapons in a boating, umm, accident. http://www.aufamily.com/forums/
