My hypocrisy goes only so far

Since the feedback on the ACSS Vulcan I was previously looking at getting wasn’t the greatest I decided to go with the Romeo X.
Also since I didn't need the fiber optic rear sights I went with the Blackout.
I am interested in the battery life folks are actually getting with their Romeo X Compacts ??

Can't answer your question, but that's a great looking pistol setup.

I’m really liking the XS f8 night sights.

The Sig optic website claims 20,000 hours continuous use on one 1632 battery. That is 833 days. I don't think the sight has been on the market more than 833 days, so no one should have drained the original battery.

In my experience the batteries that Sig optics come with rarely last more than a couple of months. I'm not sure if it's how they store them, where they're sourcing them, or what, but it's been that way with every one we've gotten in. They're not even installed in the optic out of the box...they come in blister pack. But they still die. Now I just install a new Duracell or Energizer of my own right out of the box if it's going to be anything but a range gun.
