that I got from Top Gun Supply many years ago. I do believe that Tom made these himself when he was just getting started.

He took standard Bulgarian plastic grips , ground down the sides and attached wood veneer .

Looks good, right?

Very nice! Can anyone explain how (or direct me to instructions) to post pictures in the thread like 9x18 did here?

The left is a German, commonly called by collectors the "billboard" version, given its extensive stamping. The one on the right is Bulgarian.

Those grips do look nice. In fact both of the pistols look great.

A .380 blowback pistol, such as a SIG P230, has a pretty sharp recoil. I assume that the recoil of a similar sized 9x18 blowback would be even sharper. Am I correct?

Recoil is about the same I'd say. The Makarov is a solid, all steel handgun with some heft. That helps with recoil .

Other alloy framed blow backs , like a FEG PA-63 can be quite snappy.

That would be the star of any Makarov collection. I had its twin until just recently. A 1976 Soviet military without any import marks. Sold it and a Soviet sneak just last month.

I'm downsizing and those sold easily.

Malysh, did you by chance get that from Kroh at Empire Arms?
