anyone with first hand experience? I'm looking specifically at the TAC Ultra FS HC-9mm. I have a single stack RIA in 10mm and I really like it (it is a heavy beast!). So...elucidate, pontificate even...please.

I have had my TCM for many years It is a convertible 22TCM/9MM double stack I really like it and wish they would build it in a long slide version Mine has been very reliable, though to tell the truth, I only shot it as a 9MM pistol once. I already own a robust assortment of modern double stack 9MM auto loaders. My treu reason for the purchase was as a 22TCM However, I have often thought of getting a 38 Super barrel for it. The magazines are long enough for the cartridge after all that is the length of the 22TCM ------------------------------------------------------------------ NRA Benefactor . . . hudr... has your experience with your 10mm RIA been good? It sounds like it, one has caught my eye also. "Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway." Steve McQueen...

RIA = Armscor. I have an Armscor made Citadel full size 1911 .45 with all the bells and whistles. Bought it cheap after seeing some good reviews. It shoots just as well as my 1K 1911s. I am considering an Armscor Commander. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

I had to send it back twice. It was peeling brass off the next round in the mag & wouldn’t go fully into battery. However, on the second trip they replaced the pistol. This one has been 100% reliable. When I say it is a heavy beast....I mean it. It is heavier than my all stainless Ruger SR1911 in 10mm. Overall, yes, I am very happy with my current RIA.

Interesting how these things shake out.... I mentioned looking for one of these to the owner of my LGS on Friday ....I now have the one he originally bought for himself at home. The next quest is magazines. They are not GLOCK cheap. But, luckily, I have several P series SIGs so I am not unaccustomed to pricey magazines. Supposedly the Remington R1 Limited (or whatever it’s called) will work. Plus there is a 19 rd version of them. I have one on order to verify function. Twenty rounds of 9mm in a near 3 lb 1911 style pistol should be a soft shooter. I hope to test that theory today. After mags I suppose I’ll be looking for 1911/2011 style holsters.

The 2011 style works great in .38 Super, 40 S&W, and 10mm for me. Can't think of why a 9mm would be a bad thing.
