I have a 45 carbine. Lots of fun to shoot. A bit heavy for what it is, but a pistol version would be fun! My Scorpion fills the same role at a lower price or I probably would have one. Great price.

For some reason I've been bitten by the pistol caliber sub gun lately.

I really want a .45. I have a Scorpion SBR that I love and want to get more. I looked hard at the Vector but ultimately decided against it. For me, it came down to the mag release. I just don't like it's location.

The gun does shoot extremely well though, I have no issues with that.

Ultimately I decided to go with a UMP clone for a .45 and I also decided to get a PTR MP5 clone for another 9mm.

It's truly splitting hairs between those clones and the Vector though. Personal preferences are what will carry the day.

I'd happily own a Vector if I couldn't get the clones for similar prices. Snagging a Vector for $1k is a really good deal to boot.

Yeah, mine has been heavily modified. About the only thing I didn't change was the charging handle, and that's only because I put on an aluminum rail and didn't want aluminum rubbing on aluminum.

I kind of view it differently though. I like being able to buy the gun cheap and then build it up the way I want.

I had a 45 acp KRISS pistol years ago and it shot amazingly accurately. It has more recoil than you are led to believe but not bad by any means. The only thing I didn't like about it was trying to charge the pistol/chamber a round with the hammer down. It is difficult to do and I had to call KRISS and ask them about it. I thought I might break the gun or that something was broken in it, that would cause it to be like that. I found out that is just the way it is. Other than that, they are really cool guns that shoot perfectly. I am not sure if the 9mm is any better when it comes to charging it but the price is not bad.

I like mine. Good deal to be had for a grand. Some day I'll pony up for the 10mm version, but the 45 ACP carbine sure is fun!

Smart move, really. I bought my Gen2 8" MPX/folding brace and have changed many a thing on this puppy. The initial price of admission was bad enough to begin with, but when I think about how much more that I've spent since it's actually kinda depressing. More so that I'm not done yet. But the MPX is so ingrained with AR-15 DNA that it's hard NOT to try to make the SIG more like that of my ARs.

I bought a Kriss 9mm pistol and a MPX pistol with a brace. I got a tax stamp on the Kris’s. After shooting both for some time...I ended up selling the MPX. I still have a MPX lower...might still do something with it. But the Kris’s is just a hoot to shoot. Dutton on the mag release. But the SBR allow the vpg which negate that problem. The recoil system works well with double taps.

I have a thread in the rifle section about my kriss vector in 40 sw. It is a blast to shoot. I like it more than my mpx in 9mm

Yeah, for $1k, if you want one see how you can go wrong. I bet it is going to be one sweet 9mm pistol!

The bad you listed was enough to keep me from buying one about a year ago when I had the itch real, real bad. I shouldered one at a shop, worked the safety lever, and I was done. That was enough right there. I was already not thrilled that the brace wouldn't fold, but having it in hand is what took it out of the running for me.

I think they had a hinged adapter available a year or two ago when I was customizing mine. I left it stock for about five months or so, then changed it as I could find the neat stuff. Look around at some of the 3rd party vendors with decent inventory and one may still be available.
