Glynn863Bass Pro Used Gun Library
In 2021 I bought a 1911 from the online Bass Pro Library. It was listed as a .22LR with a spare slide and barrel. What it really was was a USGI Remington Rand M1911A1 with a Ciener "platinum" conversion kit. Paid around $1300 including tax. Not great, but not bad.

Ace31Piss on Cabelas, I have reached out to two different gun libraries recently about purchasing and shipping to my local Cabelas. Neither store returned my VMs or emails. I didn't even get the common courtesy of a reach around.

I personally never rely on anyone ever returning voicemail or email these days. If I can’t speak to a live person, then I make it a point to, even if it means calling back. If there’s something that I’m interested in, I’m not waiting for someone to call back 2 days later to tell me that he just sold it.

andronicusI normally don't care much for Bass Pro, despite having one nearby in Harrisburg. But late last year they got in a used, but unfired Beretta Elite LTT 92 full size. A customer had ordered the Centurion model and was accidentally sent the full size. So they had to put it out as used. I got it for about $400 under cost. So I stop in, hoping, but not expecting another sweet deal. It might happen, you never know.

I have found that if I call the store that has the firearm and talk to the dept. manager I can usually get a great deal.
They can instantly look up the gun, see how long it has sat in inventory, and see what they paid for it. I can initially make an offer and the dept. manager can see what he has to work with and either counter or except my offer.
With free S&H to my local store and no transfer fees you can get a great deal.
Other than this, I must admit I HATE Bass Pro and now Cabelas for most everything else.
