So just bought a Sig P226 s X5, older version I believe no rail, want to change out the front sight need a solid black sight, eyes cant deal with the little read light tube thing, in the front, so looking for suggestions where to find a good front sight blade replacement, really like to put a RMR on the gun but don't know if I can bring myself to get it milled, its like new was talking to a buddy about it, and he actually gasped when I mentioned it. RMR and milling are on hold for now if I can find a suitable front blade.

The other thing that I'm looking to change out are the grips, it had the crappy cheap slippery sig grips, thinking a nice pair of G10 grip panels, but willing to listen to any suggestions, have a standard P226 that has sig aluminum replacement's and like those compared to the standard plastic one the factory sends the out with.

Some sources to consider:

Sights - Dawson Precision offers many different front sight options.

Grips - Hogue has some nice G10 grips for the X Five.

It sounds like someone already changed out your front sight.

Is there any chance of asking the seller if he kept the original sight?

If not, you could always call SIG and ask to order an original front sight. I am often amazed at how much of the little stuff they actually have on hand

unfortunately I cant, it was owned by a really great person and friend, and he passed a few years back, his wife decided over the summer to sell is collection so I helper her out with getting everything cleaned up and organized to sell, and bought the X5 and a CZ75B from her, funny thing she had no idea on the extent of what he owned, I kept pulling stuff out of boxes and his safe and herd oh my a lot, never ran across a sight blade for the sig, I'll check with sig, love the wood grips.

The CDNN grips are a fantastic deal and look pretty good

The Grips on my X-5 pictured above are the factory supplied NILLs grips and they are much more expensive when you go looking for a set
