Sig is selling the SAS slide separately. It doesn't have the porting.

Sig's thread on the product:
P365 SAS Slide Assembly Now Sold on the SIG Webstore!

I’d have to have a P365 already. I’d rather wait and see if they just offer a port-free SAS.

Well, I'm not going to try or look at it because it contradicts my prejudices. But I will bitch that gun makers don't offer innovations or things I want.

FYI, haters, the sights are very effective. The ports don't "flash", I've fired in the dark and I didn't go "Longstreet." But ports are a "no go" cause gun writers don't like them. The slide release can't be "thumbed", but it doesn't dig into my side or holster, either.

Oh yeah, the steel likely comes from India, so there's another bitch for ya.

Of all those complaining, I wonder how many have actually had one in their hands?

Since I an a gadget person, I decided to get one (which, did I mention I am CHEAP) at a good price.

OK, it uses your existing barrel and RSA, takes 30 seconds to switch. And it doesn't have the port holes the SAS weapon has (why anybody would want to port a 9 is beyond me).

The sight is basically fixed like on a Model 10, so Kentucky windage is the rule (but you don't need a lot). I did have to get new shooting glasses as my ten year old script did not work so well with the dot in the circle. It does show up as well in the dark as the standard sights, BTW.

My concern was how well the sight would work for the 25 yard stage we have to fire in the PDRNJ. Well, it works fine.

It makes the weapon a lot smaller, and it does not snag on anything.

I did have to get used to the lack of iron sights as I basically use Jimmy Cirillo's silhouette technique out to 15 yards and I missed the projecting sights. A line scribed down the middle of the slide might help here.

It's a worthwhile item to try.

I guess I could get one of these to get rid of the ports but still have the option if I wanted them. I’ve largely quit buying guns. The P365 SAS is the only one that’s lit a fire in me for several years.

I'm trading for a lightly used P365 SAS this weekend and haven't even held one so the sight system will be all new to me but I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I'm glad many of you like the SAS. I tried, but ended up simply hating it. I think of the 365 SAS kinda like a boat-the two best days are the day I bought it and the day I sold it.

I love my XL with the RZ and my Regular 365 now that I've got Trijicons on it, but the SAS just didn't work for me.
