ArkAngelPossible pawn shop steal of deal with possible bonus gem P6
Greetings all 1st post here
Was at my local pawn shop with my brother in law. looking through the case seen 2 gems a p6 1 mag for 399 and a p365 night sites with 1 12 round mag for 349. looks like under 250 rounds through the 365, I snagged the p365 but i keep thinking about the P6. Did not plan on buying the 365 but thought it was a steal of a deal. No real reason for the P6 other than its classic guess i need to get more info on the p6 pros, cons, carry vs new to me 365 or g19. sell or dont sell me a p6 and go. also best option for mags.

12131A “gem” P6, even with just one mag, for $399 is a steal. I’ll take your words for it that this “gem” is not a beater.

SigSentryWelcome. The p6 was more than the 365, the classics are getting rarer. I would probably not carry my p6 ($400 back in 2012 or so) even with its new p225 barrel but it's a very comfortable pistol to shoot. If just for range, Promags are not completely unreliable. Moot point but you may have gotten an even better deal for the pair

. Condition is everything (gem you say), blue box is nice, barrel feed ramp not beat to hell is a plus.

YooperSigsJump! But be aware that mags can be expensive and kinda scarce. Avoid ProMags.

sig operatorP6 is like a classic car, parts cost more but there is something just right when you hold it in your hands. Take it out and show it off on a nice day.
P365 is like a Toyota Camry, really good for everyday use and will last a long time.

KobrenOP 399 for a P6 is a decent price, occasionally original Sig factory P6/P225 mags pop up in the $50-60 range. The German police were on top of maintenance but expect some finish wear from a police duty pistol. The early P6 might not reliably feed all 9mm hollow point ammo but that can be cured by a gunsmith polishing the feed ramp. Hand fit and balance is about as good as it gets. If you can afford the P6 buy.

RNshooterI sent my P6 back to Sig for a Full Service package. I was very pleased.

Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. Pale HorseThe P225/P6 is one of my favorite range guns. I don’t carry my P225 since there are so many better options considering size, weight and capacity now but it is so fun to shoot that it stays in my range bag and gets shot every trip. If you have the money for a great gun you should jump on it.

dmurrayI love the P6 double action trigger being so heavy. I wish I had one for standard pressure 9mm and one for all the +p+ ammo out there. Just a couple springs, but I don’t work on the double roll pins to change the firing pin springs. I like the sights without dots, lights or glowing parts. What fun!

+p+ means its above saami spec. So I wouldn't ever shoot it in any pistol. +P is just fine!
