Build your own they say ... P320
I got a Custom Works P320 FCU, an Agency Arms Gavel slide and an Icarus ACE SOCOM carry grip module ... and supporting bits and pieces. Please no comments about the money ... I'm selling many firearms to reduce inventory ... so I'm flush with "expendable" gun money.

So now the problem ...

Said parts are assembled, I worked the slide just fine, slide locks back just fine. But when I pulled the trigger ... no click. I then attempted to take the slide off the grip ... and the takedown lever will not turn!

Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a recoil spring in it? And does the slide have a striker in it?

Sig OEM slide parts kit and the spring and recoil rod that came with the agency arms slide. Spring is a non-captured type and was difficult to seat (install). But as mentioned the slide work fine and the slide locked back just fine.

OK, I use ZEV Z320 slides and Sig factory recoil springs. One time I left out the striker or the recoil spring and the slide would not come off.

Did you lift the slide lock lever after assembly?

Yes. but it will not rotate now. When locked back, I have moved the barrel and they recoil spring rod ... no affect.

Check out the Sig Mechanics youtube page:

They have some excellent highly detailed videos of the P320 inner workings. Maybe something there might help you troubleshoot the problem.

I guess I'm not understanding what you're describing.

The P320 is modular and you can build your own. When you build your own using other manufacturer parts, I think the build your own concept falls on you...it doesn't necessarily apply when not put together with Sig parts.

It's possible to reassemble the pistol and not have the trigger work (no click). If you take lock your slide back, and rotate your release lever, you can remove the slide. If you rotate the release lever back to the normal position, you can press the trigger and note the limited motion of the sear.

Lift the slide lever catch, and you'll hear a click. Now press the trigger, and notice more range

It's possible to reassemble the pistol and not release; always make sure the slide lever catch as been raised after assembly to reset, and always do the pencil test with an empty barrel (pencil in the barrel, muzzle pointed up, press the trigger, see if the pencil jumps).

I can duplicate this with the P320 in my hand right now by reinstalling the slide, holding the slide aft and rotating the release lever back to the normal position. I ease the slide forward, press the trigger, and nothing. No click.

If I move pull the slide back far enough to lock, and raise the slide lever catch, I hear a click, and the FCU has been reset. I ease the slide forward into battery, press the trigger, and click. It works.

I've had that happen when the slide was removed and the fcu taken out of the grip module. Did you try placing a magazine in the grip and rack teh slide to see if that resets anything? I had to rack the slide a few times for whatever reason to get the trigger to reset after disassembly.

OP here. Thanks for the input. I tried all techniques mentioned. But the takedown lever still will not rotate down. Thanks again.

Is the magazine in the well? The magazine needs to be removed to rotate the takedown lever.

IN, out, half-in, out at midnight ...I gave up and sought Professional help. It's with a gunsmith now. Thanks again for the input!
