With age and worsening eyesight that accompanies that I have been looking at red dot sights for pistols. The Suarez’s seem like a good deal. Does anyone have experience with them?

I have a Suarez G19 slide for my EDC RMR build. Great quality, the finish has held up well.

Why not just mill the one you have. Lots of really good people do that. I always recommend PMM, but there are so many others. I'd not get a new slide at this point.

My friend has one and loves it. I played with it (didn’t shoot it) and it seemed nice, except the SAUEZ stenciled on the side.

I will likely just have one of my G19 slides milled for an RMR when I decide to jump in.

Anyone know the price and time to have one milled? Suarez slides run $400 plus the internals.

I used jagerwerks and by purchasing the RMR from them got a good deal. They only communicate thru Facebook which is annoying to me.

About the only reason I'd got aftermarket slide or MOS would be if you aren't sold on the concept, as they will likely retain resale value better (and also allow you to use different RDS on the weapons).

But if you know you want a RMR or DPP, getting it milled seems to be the preferred method as the sight can be set lower into the slide compared to ones with the adaptor plates, etc.

I'm giving serious thought to sending a P226 upper to Suarez for the RMR work.

I'll have to make sure they don't autograph it.

I actually have a Suarez slide, minus the bbl and recoil spring, that I bought new in November of 2015. It has the Trijicon RM07 with the 6.5moa dot. It is for a Gen4 model 19. It has been shot one time. Less than 20 rounds. It is in as new shape. If this is the model you are looking for, I would be willing to make a deal. I just don’t use a Glock enough to warrant keeping it..

I didn’t realize how inexpensive getting a slide milled was.

parker mountain machine has milled at least a dozen slides for me. Excellent work and responsive. I can recommend them as well.

I have a Suarez G17 G4 slide / barrel / internals with a Suarez installed Trijicon RMR06. I swap it out with my factory Glock 34 slide without issue. I have found it to be high quality and has run without issue for the 1000 rounds I have put through it. Not the most inexpensive option, but it has been flawless for me and I have every confidence it will work when I need it to work.

I ended up buying the G19 mentioned above from the forum member.

If you're going Glock 19, why not go MOS? Is this for an existing gun?

They're options for mounting a red dot sight. (Options for different red dot sights too)
One poster mentioned a Glock__for Glocks try Lone Wolf as they mill for $99,95 and do sell several well respected red dot sights too. Or, you can send your sight along with your slide.
Then there's Galloway who can mill several different brands of slides. With them you ship your own slide and you pay shipping both ways. (One of those Post Office little boxes will do) Galloway is $125 for the milling.
Both of these are very reasonable prices.
Stay safe
