Walther Germany made or still make some terrific barrels. Are they commited to pistol barrels? One would think that a rifle with a walther barrel would be great unless their QC has dropped. If they made it I would be forced to give one a hard look. Any comments or concerns would greatly appreciated. Yours in sport, Pickle Rick.

Lothar Walther makes excellent rifle barrels. Don’t worry about QC, their made in Germany...

Walther makes pistol blanks, but not finnished drop in barrels. Their barrels are top quality.

I've never heard anyone complain about a Walther barrel, pistol or otherwise. They sure have taken many an Olympic Gold Medal home...

The gunfactory is Carl Walther in Ulm. The barrelmaker is Lothar Walther in Königsbronn. The companies are neither connected nor geographically close to each other.

Walther match pistols are fine tools and popular but not the most succssful ones in the league of the champions.
