One of the new production Colt GCNM. A good looking 1911. This one I picked up lightly used I think from 2016 time frame. Great sights, trigger, and smooth cycling slide. Trigger has a little gritty feel on initial take up, but breaks clean and at about 3 lbs. It was in my budget at the time so I snagged it.

Not sure, I'll have to measure it. It is adjustable but the older ones had a single slot where these have the 3 slots. I think the new ones are aluminum. From everything I have read so far, they made a big effort in fit and finish.
Timely. I went into my lgs yesterday. I had some gun money burning a hole in my pocket. They had that exact model Series 70 Mark IV 9mm Gold Cup National Match. The only difference was this one was made today basically.
I wanted to buy it, $1399, which I thought was on the high end but a Gold Cup. Then I picked it up. It only comes with ONE mag, it was not tight, the safely engagement was mushy, and the trigger was worse than any DW and not any better than any SA. I couldn't pull the trigger.
I like your gun way more.

Actually this one is one of the rescent ones but early in the production run. The safety was the first thing I checked. It is very positive and no mushy feel. Mine came with two mags.
Measured the trigger width at 3/8" of an inch and is made of aluminum. Trigger pull is a little over 4#, I may make that a future project. This message has been edited. Last edited by: got2hav1,
I have an older Gold Cup that I have owned for years. What a pleasure to shoot. As a handloader, I loaded up a lot of 185gr target rounds that are soft shooting and just right for my old joints.

Nice pistol. In the distant past, when I shot local competitions, my absolute favorite was a Series 70 Gold Cup National Match .45. Wished that I had never parted with it.
