Very nice! Looks to be all serialized, barrel, slide and frame. All German, all original.

That's what I thought, too. Purchased in Germany and personally brought back into the U.S. Very nice gun.

I think I remember a P229 like that. Blue Dog, was that your German made P229 way back when?

I always wonder what was the earliest year that SIG started making the stainless slide P226 (and P220). We know the P229 started back in 1992. But, for sure the milled slide P220 and P226 did not start way back then.

Where do you find these guns? Two German-made TT P229 SLs, and now a German-made TT .40 P226. Do you have gun-loving friends living in Germany who bring back these SIGs?

Q is 1999 the year or have you found U.S. made stainless slide P226s earlier, like 1998?

I just don't know. Hence, my post above about wondering when was the earliest milled slide P226/P220.

Believe it or not all three were off gunbroker. All at decent prices. I don't think sellers knew anything about sigs.
