I placed an online gun parts order with Big Daddy Unlimited, a couple of weeks ago. Nothing has shipped and they do not answer my inquiries. My credit card was immediately charged. I've checked with the Better Business Bureau site and found numerous complaints of delays, some folks still waiting on merchandise ordered in October! The company advertises a Gainesville, FL address. The common answers allege "warehouse delays," and extreme order volume, etc., when customers receive any response. Has anyone dealt recently with this gun/sportsman online retailer? Good experiences?

Dispute the charge and move on. You gave them a chance to respond, they opted to ignore you.

The version I've heard from people who've dealt with them is they were a good deal at first, and I forget what changed, but basically they're to be avoided now.

I'll be requesting a refund from my credit card bank, tomorrow. This outfit has not acknowledged my recent request to cancel the order. As I understand, Big Daddy tries to sell "memberships," like a wholesale club, to guarantee the best bargains. At least, I didn't bite on that scam as others evidently have. Readers beware. They are still actively advertising online.

I didn't think BDU would still be around after all of the controversy they've been a part of in the last few years.

I would put them in the same category as Optics Planet, Cheaper Than Dirt!, and Botach.

I agree, I’m surprised they are still around too.

They're shipping is absurdly slow from certain locations. I've ordered and gotten some stuff super quick, and others I've cancelled after waiting for a month.

Probably worse than those. They came out swinging with a huge social media push years back, but at best they're just another drop shipper. At worst they're a borderline scam.
