Got myself a used German SP2022. Previous owner was LE and I liked that background.

So now, I gots 2.

Took the German SP2022 to the range. I prefer the newer style grips (small) so went ahead and swapped it.

The trigger feels smoother, but not night-and-day different from the Exeter/Newington ones. Started at 10, finished at 12 yards.

It gives me some guilty pleasure owning this hidden gem, certainly at its price points.

I traded a S&W 64-2 4" for my SP2022 9mm back in October. I liked it so much I bought my son one. Last Monday I found a SP2340 .40 S&W and brought that home.

SP2022 is the most under-rated gun in SIG's catalog.

Nicely done. Love my 2022, but I need to dump the 3-dot contrast sights for something more useful for me.

The Pro is a fantastic pistol. I think Bruce Gray called it a Glock 19 with a soul. Big Grin
You know it's a solid gun when the Master SIG-smith himself carries one.

The 2022's out-of-the-box trigger is about as good as it gets as far as a factory trigger goes.

Definitely a sleeper hit.

I always loved that two tone look. Always wished the German ones had that option.

My fiancee can do sort of OK with hers. I still tease her about the three that missed the mark. Smile

Her at 10 yards.

That's a very nice grouping.

I agree on the quality of the gun.

I like the two-tone pistol you have and really like the holster. Who does it?

It was quite funny. The couple that are pasted and the ones on the white were me. Then she took over. Guy a couple lanes over stopped by to compliment me on my shooting. I had to tell him it was all her and she wasn't currently missing, just going through the same hole over and over.

I love that woman! Luckily I smoke her when there is a timer going, otherwise I'd feel pretty small.

One of the most accurate pistols I've ever shot. Great trigger. Perfect in every way except polymer and inability to do trigger job.

Anyone know why can't get SIG AEP on it? Does R. Burke work on them?

The fire control unit is way different from a traditional SIG P-Series and there just isn't much to be done with them.

I've never been a big fan of two-tone pistols, but the first time I saw a two-tone 2022, I knew I had to have one. It just..."works" with a Pro.

Vern:
The holster is from Ozarks Holster Company. It's their Range Model holster.

I like this model, but could be happy with a optional mag base with a little less “lip” on it.

Springer Precision has +3 basepads, as well as the non-lipped +.25" basepads.

I'd like to get a few Roco System basepads, but his website has had them listed as "out of stock" for as long as I can remember.

And while I haven't tried a Roco basepad, the Springer ones don't seem to pinch your finger on reloads. (I run them in IDPA matches.)

It always seemed like sight options for the 2022 were limited. The Siglites are okay but I like something that is a little easier to see.

Are there any fiber or Trijicon HD style sights out there for the 2022?
