Hello, I posted a few weeks back about receiving sig sauer grips (hogue) for my 229 s4 which didn’t fit. The gun currently has a hogue wrap around which I want to get rid of. The hogue panel grips didn’t fit so I returned them. I ended up buying some oem plastic 229 grips which came in the mail today. They also don’t fit my gun. What am I missing here? I no longer have the grips that came with the pistol and at one time I had aluminum grips which disappeared over the years. Does anybody know why 2 separate types of grips including the factory grips won’t fit? Thank you.

Maybe post some pics of the gun and the various grips so members can see exactly what is going on. I am sure someone on here will have a solution for you "No more 'I have to go to the bathroom'. There is no bathroom!!"

I think it depends on which mainspring and base you have. The newer style sticks out a bit more, and one needs to make a relief cut inside the grips with a Dremel tool. Other members will probably chime in with pictures. Not a big job.
