I have multiple “extra” slides. Looking for small padded pouch to keep them in individually whether in the safe or to put in bag on trips to range.

What are you all using?

I have them in socks in a drawer and when going to the range put them and whatever mags goes with them in a large zippered pistol pouch and stick it in my bag.

Me after awhile it bugs me and I attach them to frames Smile But in any case in the short term I normally just toss them is an sig pistol box. seems to work fine.

Well now if I had frames for them, they wouldn’t be “extra” slides would they? Roll Eyes

Seems silly to have a big box for just a slide. Also I don’t want to lug an extra box to the range.

As for frames, I don’t need any more frames. If I wanted additional complete guns, I would have bought them instead of just the slides.

I have P226 and P229 and have RX slides with a Romeo for both. I also have P320 slides in different calibers and lengths.

Just looking for something small enough for a single slide to offer some protection while stored or in the range bag. Really didn’t think it was that complicated of a request...

Look into Bills Custom knife cases. He might make a size to fit.

What about something like a Bore-Store mag holder? I have ones that hold a bunch of mags that would work with slides.

It's kind of odd to ask what people use and then criticize it as silly. Especially when one is posting and asking how to carry something simple to the range. No its not "complicated". So here you go on a few suggestions that I don't personally use but might work for you (this being sigforum where we always try to help) :
Small borestore, easy and simple. not perfect since the smallest one is a bit larger than a slide with optic but simple and easy. I've carried lots of stuff using this method and it seems pretty solid.
As an alternative there are VCI bags that offer the same storage idea of in a bag but adding corrosion protection but aren't perhaps as good on physical damage protection as the borestores which seem to mitigate any tossing it around issues.
plastic tube easily available online, just slide it in and go. meets your criteria, just log onto amazon and get one.
A small ABS case like a plano, waterproof and very tough. a bit of foam and you could probably use it for sports. You can easily find these in the size you need. Very durable.
There are probably some more but there are a couple of ideas.

This may be a long shot since I'm another "extra frame" guy, but have you looked at some of the (occasionally) padded magazine or optic pouches out there? A lot of mag pouch or chest rig makers also produce what Beez Combat Systems call "shingles", i.e. three or four mag pouches sewn as a single unit to be attacked to a plate carrier.

http://www.beezcombatsystems.c...BCS-PCCp4MS-1000.htm

One, two or more of those might be good for efficient storage; one or more padded pouches would give you a way to throw a slide in the range bag without worries.

I really don't have that problem, but here's some knife cases in different sizes.

Something on here has got to fit what you have.

Bore Stores has a number of smaller cases for knives and Thompson Center Contender components that would work. Padded and silicone/rust inhibitor treated.

I use Maxpedition knife envelopes and Razorshells R7 is good.

Don’t know if they are manufactured any longer, might have to check eBay.

What are you all using?

Why not one of those compartmented range bags ?
I have one additional optic slide for my P320.
I found a pistol case that fits bot the complete pistol and extra slide.
It's like the old Gun Guard hard pistol case only longer.

Midway USA sells what they call a Tactical Pistol Bag that has seven magazine slots on one side. It will also has pouches that will one full size and two compacts pistols. It's a dandy. You'll love it whether slides fit those magazine slots or not.

Great idea, reloader-1, to reach out to Bore Stores for custom cases.

They are super fast in making them, and quite affordable ($5-25 per case, normally). Every suppressor I have is in one, plus every firearm. I even had them make bolt bags, spare threaded barrel holders, etc.

Stuff here rusts just looking at (by the water), but these Bore Stores are fantastic!

What about cardboard mailing tubes appropriately sized? Those could probably be had extremely cheap and crush proof.
