Some folks are complaining that on their Sig Legion series guns the cerakoting is impeding movement of the slide on the rails. Others are saying that Sig no longer cerakotes the rails.
I have a 226 Legion I bought new in 2021. It's my primary CCW but hasn't seen much range time. Less than 1,000 rounds I'm sure. Maybe half that.
It is cerakoted on the rails along with the rest of the gun and hasn't jammed yet.
How much of an issue is this? (Cerakote on the rails causing the slide to fail to go into battery?)
The coating will be thickest just before the first shot and will wear down as rounds go through it. If it is fine now, it’s fair to assume it will be fine as time passes.

It’s not a huge problem unless the Cerakote application wasn’t done wel
We believe arming our fellow Americans – both physically and philosophically – helps them fulfill our Founding Fathers' intent with the Second Amendment: To serve as a check on state power.
