Wood ID grips.

Wood ID grips.

Pick these up on eBay. Listed as Natural Ink-Berry. Ink-berry is a shrub. I'm guessing serpentwood but lines are darker than those found in serpentwood.

Why would you believe its not inkberry.

A google search of inkberry 1911 grips returns many comparable examples. Admittedly not from many manufacturers.

Main reason is it's a shrub and it's only one manufacturer per google foo. Description says it's exotic and not found in US- there are inkberry plants 50 feet from my backyard.
Their trunks aren't particularly thick.

Perhaps it is, no biggie, just curious.
