Thoughts on this new Heritage revolver? Looks very ugly to me.

If I wanted a .22LR revolver, it wouldn't be that one.

No rail under the barrel for a light, not tactical enough. Pass.

Seriously, I wouldn’t buy that on a dare.

And it has that ultra stupid safety on the other side. A safety on a single action revolver.

A PLASTIC safety no less. The rail looks like they sourced some segments from NC Star and just bolted them to the top-straps of regular production guns. That rail isn't even the most ridiculous thing, though. The threaded barrel would imply that they intend for the user to mount a supressor...they do realize that there's a forcing cone gap that's going to render that almost useless, right?

With that rail section on it you could flip it upside down and use a bi-pod.

How to simply distroy a pistol. Turd is not bad enough to describe this thing.

I bought an Uberti 1873 22. My buddy liked it so he bought a Heritage. That safety is awful. That not being bad enough he couldn’t run a cylinder through without it grinding to a halt. First cylinder and it locked up. Nope and nope.

Okay, So I guess nobody will confuse this thing with a Python.

Looks like there is a pin under the back of the rail that will (hopefully) allow the rail to be removed and replaced with a rear sight?

Can the front sight can be replaced also? And the safety be dismantled as well as the...

Nevermind. Buy a Glock. Wink

I wonder who that that was a good idea?

Fortunately I still have good enough eyesight that I can use iron sights. I’ve heard dozens of times though that for people with failing eyesight optics can be a lifesaver for those that want to continue their hobby. I suppose an older gentleman with failing sight might find this pretty useful.

But that’s a small market and this thing is gonna sell just fine. It’s gonna be under $200 so a huge number of people can afford it. I’ll bet there will be a bunch of people that think it’s truly a great SD firearm. The number of people who still argue that .22lr is the best SD cartridge is absurd. They will slap an airsoft optic on it and stuff it in an ill fitting nylon holster and feel like they are king shit.

You think this is bad? There is a guy on another forum putting rails all over his Uberti Schofield revolver for optics and a light and even some shell holders. That’s going to be an abomination.

True...I guess if they are going to molest a revolver, at least it's not a GOOD revolver...or even a halfway decent clone.

At first I thought it was a Ruger but thought the fit and finish of the cover plate was horrible for a Ruger product. Then I saw it was a Heritage revolver and it made sense.

Thanks, but I’ll pass.
