Noticed today that all the mags I got with my new P365 are “Made in USA”, so obviously not MecGar.

Anybody know who makes them now? Thanks!!!

Edit to add: Two 10-round mags came with my pistol; one with a flat base-plate, and one with the finger extension. I would like to buy a finger extension base-plate to put on the one with the flat plate. Does anyone know where to get one? Thanks again, and I'll try to ease up on all of the P365 questions! Big Grin

So apparently Checkmate makes the ones for the P365 then... they don't have a great reputation in my mind, but since I haven't read of mag problems on this pistol, I'll reserve judgement until I've shot them a while. Thanks, Q!

The also sell the Made In Italy P365 mags. They both have functioned flawlessly for me. Oh, and if you don't already have the UpLULA, get one. Your thumb will thank you for it.

For what it’s worth, and I absolutely prefer Mec-Gar, Checkmate’s rep was largely tarnished by providing Beretta 92 mags to the government with a coating requested by the government (iirc) that did not play well with sand and caused problems. It’s not that Checkmate makes a poor product in general ala ProMag.

Definitely need an UpLULA as I almost didn't get all 12 rounds into my first 12-round mag that I loaded! Haven't taken the other two out of their boxes yet, but will load them with range ammo to let the spring relax a bit.

I have a pair of PG365 floor plates from Pearce Grip, I'm not using.

I will trade you an extension base plate for your flat base plate. Email is in my profile if you are interested.
