For those that are mechanically inclined and know how to take their SIG apart and then put it back together, swapping and fitting of a trigger is not that big of a deal. However, I have some good info from someone at Armory Craft that this can be a nice 'DROP IN" trigger with only some sacrifice for those that are not willing or knowledgeable/skilled enough to fit the DELRIN pin (Delrin is a super hard plastic - not even a metal, so it should not be that difficult vs fitting of some other metal parts)..... Nevertheless, to make it a drop it trigger one can just cut off the Delrin pin completely and STILL achieve 80% to 90% of pretravel elimination in Double Action due to the addition of the metal boss. It is suggested to leave at least the smallest sliver of the Delrin pin to stick out so your frame will remain pristine. With about 0.010" of Delrin sticking out, you may eliminate all of the pre-travel in DA. The Delrin pin is there only to fine tune for inconsistencies in SIG manufacturing. Of course, cutting off the delrin pin is not advertised by Armory Craft, as they want everyone to have the best trigger feel possible - so some simple fitting is suggested. Even without the Delrin pin, the other cool benefits remain: - 80% or more of pretravel elimination in DA - flat trigger with grooves - adjustment/elimination of overtravel in DA and SA - faster overall reset (do to elimination of overtravel) Here is another small tip: - for now, those overtravel screws can be found only with a dark green nylon tip. For a better look, touch it up with a sharpie or black Birchwood Casey pen or even black nail polish. | ||
