These pistols are an enhanced version of the relatively new 92XI. They feature a frame mounted safety, a SAO trigger, and some Toni-System competition parts, to include a single port compensator.

The gun feels outstanding in hand. The vertec grip and front and backstrap checkering really improve ergonomics. The take down lever doubles as a gas pedal of sorts. I haven't shot it yet, but it should shoot extremely flat with the compensator, along with that leverage. The swirled carbon fiber grips are a classy touch.

I picked it up just before Christmas for $1500 OTD, so not terribly expensive. These are Davidson's exclusives and I believe limited to a run of 1000 pistols or so.

There's also a twin called the Gara, which retails for $100 less and utilizes less expensive grips. I'm not the world's biggest Beretta 92 fan, but I do own some variants. This one seemed worth buying and reporting on, as I know many people love the platform. I'll update once I get a few rounds downrange.

Here are a few pictures...

they're 50% overpriced from what the sum of the parts are. The original business case for the base 92XI SAO was $599 MAP and adding the rest of the parts from Toni System and LOK adds about $500 at MSRP.

Definitely interested on feedback of the trigger. The normal SAO has none of the SAO benefits; the lawyers only approved a long-reset DA/SA style trigger so with the swapped parts, hopefully it's better.

Trigger reset is 2011-like short, so a major improvement. The XI’s MSRP is just under $1000 and they typically sell on GB for $850-$900. The Squalo is $1200 or so. Most these enhanced guns are a bit over the sum of the parts, but that’s just the way it generally works. CZ is usually the worst with that sort of thing.

At $1500 OTD, I’m plenty happy with the value.

Certainly will

Might be a bit, as I generally shoot outside and weather hasn’t made that too attractive. I do some matches indoors, but I need to get round through it before using it for that sort of thing. I’m really looking forward to trying it out, even though Beretta 92’s aren’t usually my thing.

Looking forward to hearing about this. I have been drooling over the Gara since it was intro’d.

The Gara is $100 less and probably a bit more practical with its G10 grips. The carbon fiber grips are smooth.

Yeah. I’m looking at one for the competition aspect of it and I think the Gara would be better w/ that as the grips lean that way. Besides, I like that grey and red look much better than the gold look. Grey and red = Ducati and Ferrari. Gold = (to me anyway) honor/presentation piece.

Certainly makes sense. I’ve got so many guns with TiN barrels and accents, that the gold doesn’t phase me any longer. Used to hate it.

Very nice, and the Gara is on the ‘want’ list. If anyone has experience with a LTT 92 and the 92XI race/competition variants, would you mind posting the differences you experienced and your pro/con comparisons? I would be interested on feedback and insights on LTT enhancements versus factory setups.

I have an LTT 92 Elite. Kind of apples and oranges in some ways. The LTT gun is definitely more precise and slicker, but it lacks the features of the Corsa. Trigger reset is very short on both and I think the Corsa may even be slightly shorter.

No sir. Unfortunately the XI has an aluminum frame.

Bac beautiful pistol sir!!! I have three Wilson Combat 92’s and my Centurion is my favorite. This pistol really intrigues me with the comp and SAO trigger.

Much more reasonably priced and certainly quite a bit more usable than their earlier "heirloom" Fusion OCP. $13K for a pistol with a so-called "limited" run of 250?!? Roll Eyes

And it's good to see that their Tennessee plant pumps out other upper range products than just truckloads of A300 Patrols <snarky comment>.
