Ruger Mk IV variations?

TommydoggRuger Mk IV variations?
I have been considering a MK IV lite. I went to a local gun show today and saw some pretty good deals on them. The problem is they had a tactical also. I have not seen one in person until then, and it felt pretty good in my hands. In .22 is the heavier weight any advantage? I can't decide, what say y'all?

RogueJSKI can't imagine the extra 8ish ounces will make that much difference in felt recoil or muzzle rise. It's a .22 after all... I don't recall noticing any difference in felt recoil between the earlier gen Lite models and standard 22/45s.
The big difference is the underbarrel rail on the Tactical. If you need that, like for attaching a light for shooting possums at night, or if you wanted to install a laser, that would would be the reason to go with the Tactical.

FredwardMien are not Mark IV's, but I have a bull barrel and a super light model. Recoil is different but not significantly so. Since my shooting sessions are now shorter and more frequent, I've been using the heavy one more often.

kilyungI love my 22/45 MKIV Lite Bronze. Took off the rail and put Williams fiber sights on. Add my Mask suppressor and it’s too much fun.

Model # 43909
It's no longer listed on Ruger's website, since it was discontinued in favor of different colors a few months ago.
However, there are still a few online gun dealers with Bronze models in stock. For example:

Just a free one from SiCo, I rarely ever use them as they're usually attached to something.

ASKSmithI bought a MK III 22/45 for my son on his 12th birthday.
We always end up finishing with this pistol when we go out shooting. It always puts a smile on our face.
Happy shooting!!!

BucFanRogue is correct, as usual. The bronze color was one of the colors available on initial release. I received mine at a LGS.
Congrats Tommydogg. You're going to enjoy a great pistol. Pew, pew, pew
