Two tone vs reverse two tone...history lesson needed.
I think the source of the reverse two tone a la Sig Sauer is their aluminum frames. Type III anodizing is naturally dark gray or black. If you want colors, you have to either settle for the less durable Type I or II, or plate, which is more trouble than for steel.
