Seems I just won an auction for a new in the box USPc. Eek An unexpected surprise, it wasn’t priced too crazy so there’s that. It’s a DA/SA variant 1 gun. If my memory is right there was a combination of HK parts that lightened up the heavy trigger. I see Bruce has a short reset kit too. Anyone know what parts I might be thinking of?

There is a lighter firing pin block spring and a lighter mainspring you can try. These worked in mine. It’s been years…I don’t have part numbers anymore.

I see there’s a “Tactical Match” trigger kit at HkParts. The trigger shoe has to modded or use the original one with the rest of the kit. Wonder if that setup is the way to go?

I did the lighter trigger return spring and all metal parts were np3 coated so that helped.

If you wanna really improve your new USP Compact, do what I did and get yourself the new grayguns steel straight trigger. It's amazing!

I installed the USP Expert match trigger kit with the match spurred hammer. Didn't want to deal with modifying the match trigger so I kept the compact trigger. Smoothed and lightened everything right up.

Trijicon HD in color of your choice.

Lighter mainspring is a must do.

GG short reset kit is very nice and includes lighter FPBS which cuts half a pound-ish.

I really prefer the all steel flat trigger.

I changed out the detent plate because I will never carry this gun cocked and locked. 7 dollar fix so that I never accidentally find the safety engaged. Decocker only detent plate, don't remember the number.

HK45C mag paddle is a quick and easy improvement.

The Match Trigger in a USP Compact doesn't do much good because the travel stop won't function correctly.
However, what I did in all my compacts is to install a spurred hammer, along with some smoothing of some of the contact areas. I don't remember if I used any different springs ~ I don't think so but I can tell you my Compacts shoot superbly.
I did replace the trigger in all my full size USP's that don't already have one (Expert, Elite) with the Match Trigger.

Thanks again guys, so far I’ve ordered the following:

Hk45c mag release lever
Match hammer spring
Nickel plated sear spring

Think I’ll start there

The de-cock only detent plate is "variant 3". Classic Sig system with normal SA/DA with safety acting as de-cocker.

Research on www.HKpro.com if support here leaves unanswered questions. Most on that forum recommend ordering from HK not the vendor you chose for lowest prices. There is a HK armorer online there who has a fine reputation. Teufelhund Tactical.

^^ Gotcha. Yeah, Hk Parts is painfully expensive. Y’all have taken care of my questions but I’ll lurk around HkPro too.
