SMG6702938 BRG
Hi all my local place has one of these at what I think is a good price at 399 looks brand new. My question is I read good and bad things about them so if anyone has that model let me know what you think. I know there are better CC options but I like the all metal hammer fired guns. Thanks in advance

Pete KI own one and trust it to carry. For me, it’s too small for my 2XXL hands and doesn’t hold enough rounds for a warm and fuzzy feeling.
I do use it a bit as a BUG on a long drive (in an ankle holster).

amcI'd jump on it for that price. The 938 gets looked over due to capacity but I don't know any other 9mm that pocket carries as well. It's a great shooting pistol too. The rubber grips are great for shooting but bulky for pocket carry. I swapped mine out for thin g10 grips.
I carry mine more than any other pistol.

kimber1911For the size of it, mine is surprisingly accurate.

.38supersigSeems that the P238 and the P938 are just the right size to handle and conceal.
Mine is a stainless two tone P238 and it has been flawless for many years.
I think it would be 399 well spent.

iron chef$399 is a great price for a P938 BRG. I used to own that same model but got rid of it after buying a P365. Couple things I remember about my P938:
The trigger pull is heavy for SAO. It's designed to be 7.5-8.5 lbs.
The ambi manual thumb safety would irritate my knuckle opposite my thumb when using a high grip. I prefer the single side thumb safety on the P238 in that regard.
You might consider the S&W CSX, which is like a P938 w/ P365 capacity. I had one of those too. It was also a good gun but not good enough to displace the P365 as my choice of CCW.

ArtieSI love my 938. Just keep it clean, with light lube.
I paid $600 for mine before the Hillary election and thought I did well. At that price, buy a case of them.

SteveR2012I have owned my P938 since 2015, and it is my primary EDC. It is very accurate for its size. For the full potential look up the video by Hickok45 on YouTube. He takes some amazing shots with a standard P938. If capacity is an issue for you Kimber Micro 9 eight round magazine work in the pistol, plus there is a bit extra gripping surface. Also the price is a steal if in good condition.

I too, prefer the single safety. The ambi safety can be replaced by the P238 single safety. I have a P938 that I bought used; this conversion had been done by Robert "The SIG Armorer" Burke, before I bought the pistol. LOK grips are available with cut for the ambi safety, or for a single safety (without the cut).

SMG6702Just curious is there a serial number I should check that it is past to be sure it's had the changes made by SIG. I've been reading that you want to be sure it was made after a certain date .
Thanks

patwNever had an issue with mine in the past. They are solid guns and mine ate everything I threw at it.
