I have been shooting handguns for 50 years, I am not afraid to carry a striker fired pistol, however half the time that I carry I am doing manual labor, cutting wood, working on machinery...or I am driving equipment, in and out of cabs 30 or 40 tines a day. .. I feel much more at ease with a DA/SA or a DA revolver...Also I have many less experienced friends that will carry a striker pistol with no round in the chamber...A DA/SA might be a better option for them.

Your opinion of pistol action aside, people want this. It's not a step backwards, it's filling a pretty big hole in the market.

I carry a Glock or an xds. But the treacherous DA th SA transition is way over blown. I have a SIG or 2 also.

They're also filling a hole nobody else is mentioning - the LES slide. This is a STRONG candidate to replace the Walther CCP my wife carries. The primary reason she carries that is their low effort slide but it also has a safety. While I've had no reliability issues with the CCP (at least while using quality ammo), I'd have far more confidence in a SA product.

This will be a huge selling point to my wife as well. She likes her 238 because the slide is easy to rack. Anything else is tough for her. I am a big fan of DA/SA and don't mind the hammer. Having a decock and safely is a plus for me as I have only carried Sigs or 1911 style pistols. I also agree that this fills a huge hole in the carry segment. Whether it translates to sales we will see. I would love to see s 320 single stack that utilizes current FCUs. One can dream I guess

CPD SIG, Thanks for the defense! I just assumed that everyone on Sig Forum knew what was going on with SA and RRA selling us out to the anti gun folks for their own gain.

I thought wrong. Some still have their heads buried in the sand or are doing internal audits I guess. Enough said, I'm done here.

SA's poor decision making aside, I'm interested in a small hammer fired pistol, I just don't want the traditional da/sa trigger. I'd like to see something like HK's lem light trigger. You've got the hammer and a decent trigger pull. Just work on removing some of that take up and its a good alternative to a striker fired gun.

Disagree. They've crapped on the 2nd Amendment thru the trade assoc they hold 50% of the director positions (RRA has 25% of directorships). Additionally, info has come to light that for 5 years they have been giving money to Anti-2A politicians.

Therefore, their new DA/SA product offering gets to be reviewed alongside their treachery.

I agree. Springfield's political favoring and backroom dealing puts them on my BANNED list, regardless of how good any one of their guns might be. Negative. I might be interested in this pistol, but SA's politics precludes my doing business with them. This kind of "thread crapping" ought to happen in every venue Springfield's products are advertised. Consumers deserve to know who, and what they're supporting with their dollars, even if they "don't agree with their politics."
