Custom Sig P320 Frames? Login/Join

Wondering when and if the aftermarket will start producing custom frames for Sig's poly-striker line. I'd love to see some frames made for the non-subcompact models that, like the subcompact, have smooth, rounded trigger guards and zero rails.

Anyone heard of such up and coming critters?

Would definitely be interesting to see what can be created.
Someone before has mentioned that it'd be interesting to make a CX4-like carbine that you could drop the FCU into.

There was a long thread on this a month or two ago. Can't remember name or dates. Might want to try searching.

Glock frames are a bigger issue, since they're serialized. To make them someone would need a manufacturer's FFL. I also think they're more complicated.

Also, I really wonder if a P320 grip frame could be 3D printed, and have any level of durability?

I just meant that a company isn't going to Tool up for new frames until they know for sure that's there enough market saturation.

Agreed. But "tool up" may not quite mean the same thing as it used to.

With the P320 winning the XM17 contract, I think the 320 is here to stay. I can see MagPul offering something. Maybe a grip module that has HK P30/VP style rear and side panels?

I think the point of the P320's grip system is that you DON'T have to have something like HK's system. You just get an entire monolithic grip frame that's sized correctly.

What I think would be really useful is if someone could take measurements of your hand (let's say from cell phone photos over a printed out grid), and design and 3D print a perfectly sided grip for you.

This. So much cheaper now.

Though no one needs to get crazy they are pretty much just right, just need to get rid of the rail.

Yup. The same reason why a Gen2 Glock will fly out of the counter...
