I’m just curious, do you think that sick has corrected the problems with the P365 that it had when it first launched? I’ve heard of all the upgrades, but are they still breaking?

At this point I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, things can happen you can always still get a lemon, but I believe they have worked out the vast majority issues. __________________________________ NRA Benefactor I lost all my weapons in a boating, umm, accident. http://www.aufamily.com/forums/

I don't disagree with your suggestion to use "find" for the topic, but I've provided him with a link to one of the largest previous threads with 'P365 problems' (search words I used). P365 threads are commonly negative not positive, the latter being more difficult to find. I don't recall more recent threads which indicate problems with the latest production pistols. FWIW, I have an earlier production P365 with 600rds through it. I've never experienced any issues. https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...370002644#5370002644 If people would mind their own damn business this country would be better off. I feel that SIG has the 365 all dialed in. My LGS still sells quite a few, especially as the local city PD is beginning to switch from G21s to the 320. We've yet to hear of a single customer who's bought a 365 from us complain about them in over the last year. My 365 was amoung the first half dozen to come to our store last year and with over 1500 rounds fired from it to date, I thoroughly trust mine. Meh. It’s the internet. Of course negative threads are more common.

Sig had it right from the beginning. What you've seen on the Internet is lots of the same stories being repeated, mostly by people who never had a P365 in their hands. Sure there were a few problem samples, but nowhere near what has been claimed, and no manufacturer is immune.

I'll agree that they're good to go. My early 365 (Feb 2018) went back shortly after I got it for a myriad of minor issues...FCU loose in grip module, retaining pin coming out, that sort of thing. While they had it, they graciously swapped in a new slide, modified the striker to current spec, and swapped out the trigger reset spring that so many had issues with. It has been 100% since. I recently cleaned/broke in/function tested a friend's new 365 with an October 2018 date. While I was at it, I compared changes between our pistols and they were very minor. I fired his pistol with 100 rounds of 124 Lawman and it was perfect.

I have a P365 manufactured May 2018 and I have intermittent failure to go into battery issues. I must be imagining it, thank you for your helpful contribution.

A friend had a firing pin break with less than a hundred rounds through it a couple of months ago but I don’t know the date of manufacture. I’m still waiting. ----------------------------------------- Roll Tide! Glock Certified Armorer NRA Certified Firearms Instructor

One is a 2019 build. It IS NOT 100% yet. Mine had RTB issues using both Sig 365 9mm FMJ & JHP Ammo. In the middle of my range session I field stripped my P365 on my small range. All looked good. I called Sig and the customer service guy said “We get lots of calls on the P365 with that problem.” He recommended 124gr ammo and fire 350 rounds to break it in. He suggested that all should be OK. It smoothed up some after 220 rounds through it but not 100% reliable. I have two boxes of 9mm NATO 124 FMJ to break it in. I hope that this helps. FYI - I cleaned and lube the P365 prior to firing it. Mine is not happy with the Sig 365 9mm ammo in 115 gr.

I have noticed mine (11/18 build) has scratches along the back of the magazine like MAC had where he had the trigger reset spring break. I have sent an email to Sig to see what they say. Their response will give me a feeling as to whether to get a second P365 or a Glock 43X. I'm hoping their response to questions like this has gone from "deny" to at least asking queries. I want to see they're addressing any issues. Why is it that most gun companies are so quick to deny issues rather than just say, "that' interesting, send it in and we'll take a look at it..."

My 365 was made 10/18 and it now has 1000 rds through with no problems at all. >>>---Scalp'em 'Noles--->

Mine's been great. They keep running through our backup gun courses without issue. We've got a couple hundred officially on the books by this point with no issues reported.

I and a friend of mine early on had several issues, RTB, fail to eject, fail to feed and fail to lock open on empty mag. We still do if we don't pay attention and get sloppy with our grip. It all traces back to where and what our thumbs are doing. In addition to making sure our thumbs aren't riding the slide stop, they can't be making any contact with the slide itself. If they do, we start experiencing these issues. Neither of us could feel the slide moving against our thumbs. When we exaggerated keeping our thumbs away from the slide, the issues disappeared. I have always been of the opinion, that all 9mm pistols should be broken in with 124gr ammo, particularly 1911's. As for the P365, I am patiently waiting for the thumb safety version.

The scratches are nothing. It is just the front of the trigger spring protruding too far into the magazine well. A file will cure that problem. It also had nothing to do with the trigger spring "breaking". SIG had a bunch of springs that the curved ends weren't long enough on and the ends were slipping out of the little hole in the trigger bar. They have since corrected the problem by making sure the springs are cut properly. All of this 'scratching causes the pistol to break" rumor is caused by ignorance of how the pistol works.

Took mine out today for the first time--Nov. 2018 build. Put a little over 100 rounds of cheap 115 grain ammo, some Hornady Critical Defense, and a couple of mags of Gold Dots through it. It never missed a beat. What I found interesting is I shot it better than my new G19 MOS using a red dot. ======================== NRA Basic Pistol Instructor NRA Home Firearm Safety Instructor NRA Range Officer NRA Life Member Arkansas Concealed Carry Instructor #13-943
