I picked this up from a fellow collector . Thanks C. What's really cool is both the Colt and me were born in 1956, not bad for 62 years old ! I think it may be in better shape than me. I have been on a SAA binge buying a couple of USFA models and then the Colt today. Fun money is gone now. LOL.
I wasn't sure I would like the stags until I saw them in person, now I am sold on the stags. It is a .38 special with 7-1/2" barrel. Not pristine but a very tight revolver showing just enough patina. I noticed the tightly machined gap between the loading gate and the frame. That is impressive and comparable to the USFAs I have. I am thrilled with it. Enjoy the photos.

Nice!

Closest thing I have to yours is a J.P. Sauer & Sohn in 44 Mag.

Your Colt would make it tempting to empty every .38 within arms reach. Big Grin

Everyone should have a birth year SAA.

Mine happens to be a 3rd Gen New Frontier in 45 Colt.

Congratulations!

Sure beautiful old Colt and the stag grips really enhances the revolver. Nice photos too.

I have a USFA Rodeo with Case hardened hammer. Very well made gun and the sights are perfectly regulated. I know it is utility grade but I always shoot the Rugers and leave the USFA in the safe. Rodeo is probably not that valuable, but is out of production.

Your Rodeo is still pretty desirable. I just paid a pretty steep sum for one. All of the USFAs are in demand.
