Looking for any additional info, fliers, ad sheets, etc for the following. Have search this forum with no luck. I recently acquired a Sig P226 Texas DPS 75th Anniversary Limited Edition, .357 Sig, SAO (from 2010). Wanted one when they came out, but almost impossible to get. In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the TX DPS, a limited edition version of the P226 was commissioned (2010). The Texas DPS 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition SIG SAUER P226 .357SIG Single Action Only (SAO), and was available for purchase through the end of 2010 (while supplies lasted). According to Sig only around 550 were produced and a very limited number of those went to non DPS personnel. This firearm, based on the steel frame P226 X-series (DE Germany), special TXDPS serial number (TXDPS750XXX), and comes bearing engravings of both the traditional Texas DPS Seal and the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee logo inlaid in 24k gold on the top of the SS slide, beautifully engraved scroll work and “TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY”, “1935 – 75th ANNIVERSARY – 2010” and “LIMITED EDITION” text on the sides of the slide, and Diamond Jubilee logo engraved rosewood grips. This specific one was made 5/11/2011. Thanks for any help provided….

Here’s a link to the thread I started when I picked up a 226 with the TXDPS S/N prefix. https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...980096634#3980096634 Was the one you bought listed on GB? I was looking at one that was on there for a while. ------------

I purchased this one from mcs1564 a while ago. It's a very nice pistol. .357 SIG, SAO, most of the X 5 frame attributes. It's very similar in features to my X 5 Short and Smart, which is 9mm. ***** Reviving an OLD THREAD from almost five years ago***** That beautiful all black/all stainless .357 SIG P226 TXDPS pistol had a range trip yesterday. I don't shoot it often as I don't reload for the .357 SIG cartridge and factory .357 SIG ammo is relatively uncommon and/or frightfully expensive here at my location. When Sig Forum Member mcs1564 sold me the .357 SIG TXDPS pistol, the deal included a new "Classic Line" short external extractor complete 9mm top end. (slide, barrel, recoil spring & guide rod) It didn't fit on the TXDPS pistol and would have required fitting. Member mcs1564 told me he had purchased the new 9mm top end, but never tried it on the TXDPS pistol for fitment. The German all stainless frames have always been slightly more generous on the frame rail dimensions compared to USA made aluminum frame rail dimensions. This is a known issue with German all stainless frames and isn't uncommon. I want to be crystal clear here that Member mcs1564 didn't do anything wrong or make a sale improperly in any way. He just never tried the 9mm top end on the TXDPS pistol before selling it and the 9mm top end to me. I recall being unhappy that the supplied 9mm top end wouldn't fit the TXDPS pistol back almost five years ago, but I soon found another use for the 9mm top end from mcs1564. I have another .40/.357 SIG all stainless P226 DA/SA pistol that the 9mm top end did fit onto the frame without any gunsmithing, and I have been shooting the heck out of it for the last five years. I used the 9mm top end as a "home built" SIG P226 USPSA limited edition pistol shown here below. These two photos below are of a genuine SIG P226 USPSA model. (photos supplied by a Member here that has one of the quite rare USPSA limited edition models) Left by cee_Kamp 32ACP, on Flickr Top by cee_Kamp 32ACP, on FlickrHere is my home built version of the USPSA limited edition model. IMG_20211116_143400002 by cee_Kamp 32ACP, on FlickrThe above black 9mm slide/top end on my home built USPSA model is the 9mm top end unit from mcs1564 that I swapped over to the TXDPS frame yesterday at the range for another try for fitment. Yesterday at the range, both of the above mentioned pistols were at the indoor range, it was 70 degrees inside, and I had plenty of time. I decided to take the 9mm top end supplied by mcs1564 the had been residing on a natural finish stainless DA/SA P226 for the last five years, and give it another try on the black Nitron finished stainless frame SAO P226 TXDPS lower. And surprise! After five years of usage on another frame, the 9mm top end fit and functioned perfectly on the TXDPS frame. Thanks mcs1564! That 9mm top end that you sold me with the TXDPS pistol, it fits perfectly on the TXDPS lower now, it just needed some breaking in. What's not to like. All stainless including the frame, total black Nitron finish, SAO, multi caliber, 9mm, .40, .357 SIG, X 5 frame attributes and just a ton of fun! I believe in the 9mm configuration, that TXDPS pistol is my new favorite range gun! It also saves some wear & tear on the X 5 Short and Smart.
