They are fantastic guns. I have three. Two 9mm and one .40. Good trigger, light for a DA/SA accurate and reliable.

From what I have found out Sig Sauer discontinued the 357Sig barrels shortly after the production on the SP2022 stopped. So they are not available through them. There are several custom barrel makers that still make them but in limited quantities. Also some used one's will show up on different sites and the classifieds like eBay or Face Book Market Place.

I have an SP2022 in .40. I put a Galloway Precision adjustable trigger in it and IMHO I think it made a good trigger even better. Great guns for the money!

My search for a Sig Sauer .357Sig barrel has paid off. Found one on the S&W forum want adds. A member had one that has only had 25 rounds shot through it. It's an original Sig Sauer .357Sig barrel for the SP2022 that should be at my FFL tomorrow. I bought it for asking price of $120

Great gun for what it is. I had a SP2022 in 9mm for awhile, got it on the cheap. Great guns and I can’t imagine you’d have any issues with it if you use it. If it’s good enough for Jason Bourne

The barrel is coming UPS to the house, should be here tomorrow. The gun had to go to my FFL holder at his shop. It came in today and I picked it up.
Brought it home and field stripped it to inspect and give it a proper lubing. The pictures in the auction did not do it justice, if I had to guess it looks more like a NIB to me.
Field stripping was a real challenge holding the slide just so while pushing the slide latch lever out of the frame. I'll have to figure out a way to clamp the frame in a holder, so I can use both hands to release the slide. Probably make a clamp to fit the Picatinny rail and clamp to my bench. Loaded one magazine with my reloads, semi wad cutter lead running at 850fps. Took it outside and fired just 4 rounds to check function. It shoots great. I fired one round with the magazine out and discovered there is no magazine disconnect. I liked that. I decided to swap out the grip for the larger one that came with it.

^remove mag, lock slide back. With one hand, grip hand around slide behind grip, release slide until notch lines up with take down pin. With other hand, push pin out or use something flat if it's tight. German Sigpros made it easier with the notch farther back on the slide but yours should line up with the notch with the slide almost fully back like mine.
Edit: putting it back in is something people get wrong. You should put the slide on as it would be assembled and put the slide catch in to start. Then pull slide back and push it home when the notch lines up. I've seen some folk try to pull the slide back before putting the pin in. No bueno.

While I prefer the P226 - 229 pistols, I shoot the best with the SP2022. Underrated pistol for sure.

I installed the 357sig barrel and have a full 50 round box of Winchester 357 Sig ammo. I loaded 1 magazine with 12 rounds (all it would hold) and went out to test fire it. I shot from the 10 yard line and can tell ya the Winchester round running at 1350fps sure will get your attention with the recoil. I've ordered a set of Lee 357sig dies and my reloads will be a reduced target load at 850fps.
The target is nothing to write home to mother about. The first 2 rounds hit the blue tape on the right shoulder of the B27 backer, not on the paper target. The 3rd round was on paper but high hitting the E in Score Keeper. The last 11 rounds were on paper but looked like a good 00buck pattern.
I also had 2 rounds stove pipe on charging the chamber due to the snappy slide on charging under recoil, may have to adjust the magazine lips a little. Other than those little glitches, I really love this pistol.

^^^ The 2022 357SIG can be a little snappy compared to the 9mm. It can be enough of a pussycat in 9mm, though, that if it winds up being convenient to load your reloads to 9mm velocities then I don't believe you'll pay much (if any) of a penalty for the additional feet per second.
If you happen to try the pistol with other brands of ammunition it would be interesting to hear if something else gave you better accuracy and reliability. Mine seems to like Speer Gold Dots and TMJs, for what that's worth.

I love the 357SIG round but I got rid of my SIGPro in 357SIG for the "flip" that you mention. I shoot mostly steel or alloy framed pistols in that round with the exception of the Glock without issues but the SIGPro didn't agree with me. I love it in 9mm.

Shot the SP2022 and p239 this morning in 357. It had been a while (SP2022) and felt much better than a few years back. The sigpro is snappy but controllable. My main goal was to try the Hornaday 135 grains in the p239. I could shoot that all day (it has the Hogue grips). I also wanted to test the JTS M20BT ears I got from PSA. they are awesome. Didn't need anything over them. My teeth do ache a little though, ha. The 357 sig round in the sp2022 only makes me a better shooter in 9mm in the same pistol. The most important part, no malfunctions in either pistol. I'll have to burn some 40sw at a later date.

From talking to customer support the production has been paused but the SA2022 will still be supported and all warranties still in force will be honored.
