Hi..I'm new to the forum but not to Sig Sauer pistols. I've been acquiring and shooting them for over 40 years. To date I have a Browning Sig BDA in 45acp and 400 Cor-bon and 3 Sig P220's in 45acp.
I just won the bid on GunBroker Sunday for the listed SP2022 which should be here Thursday unless the USPS messes up somehow. It's in 40S&W and I'm now looking for a 357Sig barrel for it.

BTW: I just corrected the prefix from SA to the correct SP model prefix so it's a SP2022 model.

I think you mean SP2022. Mine is currently on bedside duty. Over ten years of ownership; no issues, no jams, etc. An excellent choice! Welcome to the forum!

Welcome and Congrats. I was just looking on Ebay for 357 barrels. I didn't see any. I did see a few slides/barrel combos in 9mm though. SP2022 was my first. It could have been my only but we know how that works out.

I haven't seen another video like this for any other pistol. Enjoy your obsolete plastic da/sa forgotten weapon.

Please excuse me while I wipe this egg off my face. I honestly don't know how I came up with the SA prefix. But before bidding on it I did a lot of AI searches and you know how AI can get things wrong.

Anyway it is an SP2022 and I'm not sure we are allowed to link closed auctions but if we are not allowed would one of the moderators be kind enough to remove it.

I think I did OK on the price and it should be in my FFL holder on Thursday and I can take some more pictures and if I can figure out how to post/insert them I will do it.

Sig Sauer may still sell the drop in 9mm for the .40 SP2022, should you want to add that option.

Very nice shooting pistols, but the takedown/assembly takes a little getting used to lining up, until you get the hang of it.

I just rediscovered the Sig P250. Found a subcompact 9mm at fantastic price. Liked it so much I bought a subcompact in .40. Then was able to find a 357 Sig barrel for it.

No idea why I ignored that gun when it was new.

I had a SP2340 when they first came out. It was a .357, really regret selling it. Was a great gun.

I like them. A little chunky but the weight is fine due to the polymer frame. Reliable and accurate. I don't care for the pinky rest on factory magazines, but for about the same length you can get a MecGar +2 magazine.

Good, reliable guns at an excellent value. I don't much care for the grip shape or texture, and as such have never purchased one despite several opportunities, but that's a individual preference thing. If you're happy with the gun, it was a good buy and should serve you well.

I was afraid of that. I remember back in the day Photobucket had the free photo host tinypic. I was on(and still am) the Traditional Muzzleloading forum.
I had posted literately hundreds of pictures there using Tinypic. Then Photobucket discontinued Tinypic and held all of the pictures for a $300 ransom and taking out the subscription for Photobucket for $30.00 a month.

Fortunately I had all the pictures saved on several computers and could repost them to the treads I started. Here is one I had to add the pictures at the end.

I picked up an extra grip module and then used epoxy and silicon carbide to "man it up".

I think it's an outstanding weapon for the value. I had a couple but kept the triple serial number 9mm I had. It was the best trigger out of all of them.

Yeah, it's not quite the grip of the p228/p229 (more squared off front strap than the rounded metal frame) but they got close. Imo. There's not much to do with it besides grip module, sights, Bedair SS guiderod or different trigger depending on what it came with. The small or medium grip with the standard trigger probably allows me to stage the DA pull better. I can reach the decocker and mag release with little adjustment with either grip. Very underrated, especially in 40SW.
