Twist18Beretta experts, a question
Did, or does, Beretta produce the 92 without the warning printed on the dustcover, and/or on the slide, like I seem to be seeing on newer pistols?

lechiffreYes they did. I don't know when it was added.
The M9 does not have any warnings.

rat2306Two of my three 92s have the dust cover warning.
My commercial copy of the M9 is the one that doesn't.

Earlier pistols had no such billboards of legal BS. I don't know when they started with the practice but I tend to believe mid 90's. If you want a pistol without all the BS just get a late 80s, early 90s straight dust cover F or FS.

PGTThe S&W settlement is what caused US manufacturers to put warning labels on. Mid 1990's or so

moelepoI bought these two about 19 years apart as new pistols and both lack the warnings on the frame or slide. The M9 is a commercial variant I picked up in 2013. The Inox has a BD (1994) date code and was purchased that year.
