Beautiful 6 shooters! Re: factory refinish - the factory normally marked such work with a 4 digit (month/year) date stamp on the grip frame.
Thanks for sharing.

got2hav1OP,nice 27s. I like those a lot and would love to find a 5". If I do it will come home with me. I currently own a 1963 27-2 6-1/2" barrel. And I foolishly sold a nice 1969 27-2 with the 3-1/2" barrel. Again I am envious especially of that 5".

A "brace" refers to a pair, even though with the different barrel lengths they are not a
matched pair. But "embrace" - as in to welcome - works too.

Biker_dudeOP, that's almost identical to what I've got. My pic is huge, sorry, dunno how to resize for SF software. But two are 27-2s and the six incher is pre 27.
The stag grips are by the late, great Patrick Grashorn.

patwVery nice looking pair. I love the look of the "cone shape" of the barrel as it comes off the frame. Such an iconic look.

Sir, that’s a fantastic trio - love those Grashorns!

There was a time in my misguided, misinformed youth when I didn’t care for the tapered barrels. Thankfully, I outgrew that uncomfortable phase haha.
I really like the classic looks of these and similar revolvers.

captain127All beauties! If that 3&1/2 is refinished they did a stellar job. The subtle increased gapping of the sideplate seam is the only giveaway that it may be refinished.
If refinished years ago by S&W they would stamp the grip frame - look for something like R-B or a month and year date

Pizza BobWhile I generally prefer my N-frame calibers start with a "4" that hasn't stopped me from accumulating a few 27's
