P220 SmudgeCPII, hard chrome, or NiBx/whatever?
Thinking about having a few pistol slides done, and I want more of a matte look as opposed to super shiny. I know to a certain extent, they're going to end up looking "blingy" just because of the two-tone, but I don't want my stuff to look like something a Mexican drug smuggler would love. Which of these would you go with?
If it matters, one is a West German P226 that someone loved hard, and a couple older Glocks.

94hokieAn fyi that the CP2 has a habit of discoloring if you sweat a lot (I do). If you go that route it’s recommended you use a wax on top of the coating. Not hating on the coating, just pointing it out as I wasn’t aware. Good luck with your search.

maxwayneI have been very happy with CPII. I have had it on my Gold Cup for 20 years or so and have not noticed any discoloring. It is very easy to clean also.

CCRCPII is NOT prone to discoloring. Some people have very acidic sweat which can discolor any metal. If you are one of those few all you have to do is put a thin coat of wax such as Flitz Gun and Knife Wax not the polish to prevent it
CPII can be done in more of a matte just put a note on the work order
Summer Sale has been extended till July 15th

1lowlifeA P226 I had CCR refinish.
CPII on the slide barrel and parts, black Cerahide on the frame.
They do excellent work.
A couple of Glock slides in CPII.
Not blingy at all, nice matte finish.
P239 SAS in CPII.
This is a NiBx Glock 22 I bought a while back.
Example of hard chrome.
One of the last hard chrome jobs Virgil Tripp did before retiring.

P-220My P-220/.38 Super American has CPII and I believe Nikote on the frame.
Looks very similar to my full NP3 P-220.
I had a great experience with CCR.

maxwayneOne thing I noticed on my Gold Cup, was it tightened up the frame/slide fit just a bit.
