The most sought after pistol for me…

OttoSigThe most sought after pistol for me…
My recent P7 thread aside. My most sought after pistol is a Dan Wesson CBOB in 10mm. I’ve owned two. And regrettably sold em.
I can’t find another to save my life. So now I’m on the hunt, which is pretty cool. Often the chase is better than the find!
I hate are you after at the moment?

MacGyverI’m mostly in sell mode, but I’ve long been on the lookout for a P226 SL (German-made, all-stainless, no accessory rail, no beavertail). There are more in the US than just the Afton Arms ones, but they’re still tough to find.

WaterburyBobI always wanted a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special Comanche (Commander size) in hard chrome.
Never had the money for one when it was in production; when I could afford one, they were gone.
I have a Dan Wesson CBOB 10mm, by the way. Great pistol.

dry-flyI sold a 10mm S.A. TRP a few years ago, nothing exotic but kinda hard to replace. It was a stupid move.. I miss that piece

I almost bought one of those back when they came out. Beautiful pistols.
It would probably be a safe queen for me that rarely got shot.
A P7 would be really cool too.

BrowndrakeFor me it was the Dan Wesson VBOB in 10mm. Fortunately for me they ran a special run of them in 2023 (small run) and I managed to get one. It seems to me that a commander sized 1911 in 10mm is pretty close to a do all pistol. Although, a .45 ACP version may be even better especially considering some of the ammunition available today....Buffalo Bore and Underwood offerings for example. It could cover everything from normal home defense, to EDC, to big predator protection. Plus, you then have the option of putting a .22 conversion kit on it. It will do all of that and look good doing it.
I would say a Wilson Combat SFX9 (or maybe an SFT9) is the only firearm that I do not already have that I really would like to add to my collection.

Check out the DW Custom Shop. They used to build to requirements back a few years ago. I had VBOBs in both .45acp and 10mm built and both are superb. They might put together a CBOB in 10mm for you.

BeanheadYears ago, I browsed the local Gander and they had a Ed Brown Covert carry for $900. I jumped on it.
Had it for a bit and shot it. Ended up selling it.
Frankly, I didn't think it was all that much better than a Dan Wesson Pointman that I have.

DoctorSoloDan Wessons are sweet, I still want a pointman 9 but not for 2000 dollars.
My current grail gun is a nice H&K P9S.

zdog16I have all my Grail pistols but one. Alchemy Custom Weaponry Prime Carry is my last grail gun to get. Ugh, I just gotta go ahead and order the damn thing.
For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

wacopolumboFor me, right now, I’d like to find a used P229 Legion in 40 or 357. Ever since Sig gave up on those calibers, it’s hard to find one.
Thought I may see one at the gun show this past weekend, but nope.

flesheatingvirusI've been eyeballing a long slide 10mm 1911 for a while now, especially the Dan Wesson Bruin.
Maybe later...

Mars_AttacksMine was my Desert Eagle. Went through two before I realized my stupidity and scored the hard chrome one I got from a forum member here back in 2007.
I'll never let this one go.

ArtieSFor absolutely no practical reason what so ever, I want a .475 color case hardened Linebaugh. I'll never own one, as he has passed, and nice examples are $10k and up. But they are beautiful guns.
